Great little DF electric/remote start generator
Easy set up, I love that the generator doesn’t allow alternator output until the idle stabilizes. The electric/remote start is the bomb. Runs quieter than what I expected. I honestly like this little generator more than my high dollar Generac.

Works as advertised. Would buy the wheel package!
Solid so far. Followed the directions and it started with the remote starter just like it was supposed to. Funnel for the oil connects well. Definitely worth it to get the wheel package because it is heavy. Plan to run on propane.

Powerful, useful, efficient, sturdy but a little loud
We read so many reviews and looked at many models and brands before we selected this model. I must admit that I was partial to Westinghouse because of their long standing reputation and I was not disappointed. It is good to know that some of these old companies are still reliable brands. For the money, this is great machinery. It was easy to operate and it came with motor oil (that was so helpful). We ran it constantly for 5 days on a camping trip. It started with on average 2-3 pulls. It was chilly at night and sometimes down right cold and it ran all night most of the time until it ran out of fuel. The gauges are easy to read for fuel and motor oil levels. It rained a few nights while we were camping and the generator was a dynamo, we just covered it with tarp and it ran with no issues. My only issue was the noise level. I realize it's a gas powered generator however I was looking for it to be a little more quieter but we were able to still sleep while it ran so may be it was not so bad or may be it was because we were so exhausted from the days activities.

It’s a good generator. It runs good and is very quiet. Can hook up multiple item with no problem. I would recommend to anyone. Very resemble price. It’s also portable. Is to hook up to use. Just add oil and gas.

It’s a Goldilocks generator
Not too heavy, a one man struggle lift, or two man easy lift, really allows this to be a portable generator... Simple assembly, auto start feature worked well, although it didn’t fire up on the first crank (propane) the auto start did repeat automatically, it fired up on the 3rd attempt (one button push, 2x no start, then ignition)... this was also done “out of the box”... I gave the battery absolutely zero help and didn’t plug in the included charger beforehand. Tested with a miter saw and the generator responded well. The “small” but extraordinary pluses make a big difference, it is a reasonable noise level... on propane, I tested in the garage, overhead door closed, and could still hold a conversation, not that you don’t notice it’s running, but that you don’t need to walk away to hear yourself think is a major plus... my intended use is rather mixed, backup/emergency power at home, but portable for remote work situations, for example I have a bridge in the woods that needs to be redecked and a miter saw will sure be handy dandy... maybe a 5th wheel in the future... I would have gone with the inverter generator except I’d prefer the power available per the weight of the generator that this has to offer... startup and shutoff instructions ON THE GENERATOR, in picture format, for my *wife*, I mean friends, is a comfort too.... if it only had an onboard keeper for things like the GASKETED OIL FUNNEL, spark plug (extended reach) wrench and propane line, I’d probably move a dresser out and keep this thing in my bedroom... a size 15? wrench for attaching the propane line would be a plus too, but I’ll order one and keep in in a shoebox along with the other items.. On the initial not too heavy thought... if this were any heavier I would probably not be able to solo lift this thing... I’m in my 30s and more physically fit than the average guy, and although it’s only in that 100 lb range, you can’t easily hold the weight near the body because it’s center of mass is 16” or so away, two people can grab the frame on either side and it’s not bad. Once on the ground, the included handle and wheels make it easy enough to move that my 10yr old could manage to reposition it on level ground.

Durable. Heavy Duty Use. Northern Michigan.
5 years of heavy use. Purchased July 2020. Has been the main power supply for off grid 800sq ft home in northern Michigan used year round. General maintenance oil changes and spark plugs. Still using original air filter that gets cleaned periodically part of general maintenance. Removed emissions canister result for 1 of the 5 or 6 no starts experienced over past 5 years. Replaced snapped recoil start 1x. Replaced spark plug boot 4x. Has been the most reliable, least fussy generator unit of the multiple units we have acquired. Decently fuel efficient for a fixed 3600rpm generator compared to others we have. Not inverter efficient but impressive for basic generator with running and peak wattage rated higher than most any competition in the same bracket/ballpark for a similar wattage sized unit. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unit this size. $309 including tax and over 5 years of summer/winter year round heavy use, I honestly have zero complaints zero maintenance issues and am genuinely impressed it still starts on 1st or 2nd pull every time. **I wish this unit had an hour gauge, it would shock me and anybody else to know the actual run hours on my unit.

The. Product started no problem, simple process to switch fuel, very quiet did not strain when the load was high, and the remote start which they don’t mention it comes with was a real bonus, my friend next to me came over and took a good look at the unit and is now buying one

It had issues at first to start on propane. I am solely on propane. But once it started once, no issues. It gave power for a 48 power outage. I recommend. No need for gas. This thing is great!

This is an excellent generator. We lost power for 48 hours and I borrowed my brother in laws. Liked it so much that I bought my own! Love the duel fuel option and push button start.

Bought this generator to use when boondocking with our 35 foot 5th wheel. Its dual fuel so I don't have to carry or purchase gasoline since I am running a diesel truck this is a great help. We always have propane available and I have it step up to run right out of the back of my truck. This generator makes things easy with remote start, fuel choice and the way its is built.

The product is really well designed, you have dual fuel gas and propane (very important, when the power is down in your town or neighborhood, you won't be able to fill you gas can, but you can still buy a filled propane tank). Switching from one supply to another is very easy. You also have a remote starter, convenient during the Canadian winter (it will not work for the initial start, but you can stop it for one hour or two and start again without going out again). Now do not follow the manual for the initial set-up, it is easy but the battery has to be connected BEFORE you attach the wheel, not after. Moreover the generator is delivered with a quart of engine oil 10W30, it is OK for California, but for Canada what you really need is a quart of 5W30. The main problem is not with the generator but with the responsiveness of the customer service, if you need a part you can get a case number but you won't get any farther, I got the email message: 'Thank you for contacting Westinghouse Portable Power Customer Support. A member of our Team will respond to your case as soon as possible.' and then no member of the team ever contacted me. It is probably link to the fact that we are in Canada, but if they can sell it here they also should commit to some service...
