Prevents tracking inside.Just out of the box it has a whiff of new tires that very quickly vanishes.Low price = incredibly good value.Would ABSOLUTELY get more, though probably won't need to ever replace it.

IT WAS PACKED FLAT AND NOT ROLLED UP, THANK YOU! HAS A NICE SHINE TO IT, TRULY LOOKS LIKE WROUGHT IRON, I PREFER ACTUAL WROUGHT IRON BUT THIS IS A GOOD SUB, BEEN ON FRONT PORCH NOW FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND STILL LOOKS GREAT, I WILL BUY A BIGGER ONE NEXT TIME, GOT THIS ONE AT A VERY LOW PRICE, IT DID TAKE AWHILE TO ARRIVE, WORTH THE WAIT, actual measurement is 17 1/2 x 29 1/2 which is a negative for me
