Fluval T300 Fully Electronic Heater for Freshwater Aquariums up to 80 Gal.

Fabulous heater, well worth the slight extra cost. Being able to mount it horizontally is a godsend as it's now completely hidden behind the rocks and plants so the tank looks far less cluttered. My previous cheap heater allowed the temperature to drop by 1 degree before switching on and then raising the temperature 1 degree above my setting before switching itself off. The electronic system in the Fluval has much finer parameters and accuracy, seems to come on at 0.1⁰ below and switch off again at exactly the temperature I've set it to. It's held a set temperature of 25.5⁰ for 10 days solid without more than a very occasional 0.1⁰ downward fluctuation shown on either my digital internal probe or standard thermometer. The fish definitely appear happier and healthier without the large temperature swings. The permanently illuminated power & heating light ring gives peace of mind that it's working at a glance. I have a second tank and will definitely replace that heater with a Fluval when the original that came with it starts to misbehave.

I tried to get a picture of the heater for you but it is at the back of my tank, above the bubbles. I placed it there so that the water would circulate well, and so it would evenly distribute the same temperature. Apart from the fact that it will NOT go below 24.3c (It is meant to start at 22c, and I was hoping to set it at 23c or 24c) it works well, and it keeps the water at the same temperature. I purchased the next sized heater than necessary to save energy costs, and to prevent the heater from having to work so hard. My digital thermometer has constantly read 24.3c or 24.2c. The little red light comes on (I don't notice it being my castle) when the water is being warmed, and it is blue when the water is at the correct temperature (again, I don't notice it behind the castle). (Note: I make sure any new water I add to my tank - water changes etc - is as close to 24.3c as possible, so not to stress the fish or the heater. Nothing worse than being in a nice warm shower and it suddenly goes freezing cold on you... at least once the shock wears off humans are usually fine.)

This has been working perfectly. Really appreciate the light being blue or red, but always on, as you know if it's broken or somehow lost power at a glance. The heating keeps it easily within 0.5C of the target with no issues in our 240L tank. It installed wimply and the suction cups have been reliable so far. We did have to return and reorder the first time, as the initial one we recieved died after a few seconds of use, the replacement has been fine.

I thought my heater had broken after 2 weeks, but I think it was because I mounted it vertically. The thermostat must be at the top near the light, so if this part is out of the water it won’t read the water temperature correctly. You might think it’s not working and turn up the dial then overheat the water or unit. Got it fully submerged horizontally now and it’s working fine.

Great Heater I always use Fluval heaters in my tanks as they work perfectly and last for years Sleek black design looks great they are rather large tho but easily hidden with decor Not to expensive either pretty good price from a reputable brand Would Highly recommend Will be buying another for my other tank

Dégoûté, j'attends avec impatience ce chauffage car le mien est très irrégulier, déjà il n'arrive pas au moment marqué sur le site Amazon, après il est perdu , après il part à la poste , et finalement quand j'ai réussit à le récupérer, il a une prise ANGLAISE 😑😑😑😑‼️ Donc je doit attendre encore 3 jours pour avoir un adaptateur, bravo prime ‼️ Pour le produit, c'est a voir dans le temps mais il semble résistant à la première vue .

I've had many heaters over the years. I like how this is so easy to see if it's on or off. No condensation in the housing so its truly a submersible heater. Bit big for my 10g tank as it's quite long bit still fits and works great.
