I consistently use sodium lactate in multiple DIY skin and hair care. I use it in cold process soap, shampoo, body wash and lotion/creams. In cold process soap, it helps harden the bars and leaves a preferable skin. Just add a little bit to lye water and that’s it! In other applications, it acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to skin and hair. I often use sodium lactate in place of glycerin because it doesn’t leave the sticky feeling like glycerin can. The value for the money is better than many others on the market, and the quality is just as good. The free shipping aspect of Prime is the cherry on top. Great product, great value!!
