I thought I should write a review of the TOPDON JS2000 even though I have not had the need to use the jump starter feature. TOPDON is not the best known brand of jump starter sold on Amazon. I found the TOPDON line of jump starters after having purchased a TOPDON battery tester and being very satisfied with their battery tester. I have purchased the JS2000 for myself and also as gifts for new drivers of older vehicles and older drivers of new vehicles. If you are still using jumper cables, stop now and get this jump starter. Every JS2000 comes with an enclosed card that informs the recipient that they can extend the warranty from 12 mos to 24 mos by sending TOPDON the Amazon order number and the serial number found on the back of the JS2000 jump starter. TOPDON currently offers three different capacity jump starters. The JS2000 is in the middle of the product line and I believe it is the best one for most people (size, weight, capacity and being well fit for its intended purpose.) My experience with jump starters goes back over 20 years. Over that time I have helped other drivers with depleted batteries start their vehicles about as often as I have needed to use the jump starter on one of my own vehicles. So while the lower capacity JS1200 is probably going to be able to start your personal vehicle (especially a vehicle with a 4-cylinder engine) the next driver you help to jump start their vehicle using the TOPDON jump starter may have a vehicle with a larger engine. The JS2000 will almost certainly be able to jump start that vehicle too (OK maybe not a motorhome with a large diesel engine.) The JS2000 when 3/4 up to fully charged and not stored in sub-freezing temperatures should be able to jump start any passenger vehicle or light truck with no difficulty.) For jump starting larger vehicle engines TOPDON offers the JS3000. As noted TOPDON does not include an AC charging block with the JS2000, only a USB-C cable (actually the included charging cable has a USB-A connector on one end and a USB-C connector on the other end.) This cable may not meet your charging needs. For fastest charging from an AC outlet you want an 18W AC charging block with a USB-C cable. (I found one I like on Amazon. Search for "USB C Wall Charger, 18W PD Adapter with 5ft USB-C to USB-C Cable Support Fast Charging".) Eventually I or someone I have gifted the JS2000 jump starter will use the jump starter and they will may let me know of their experience with the JS2000 so I can update my review. [Update 2-4-24: I used the TOPDON JS2000 to jump start a Kia or Hyundai SUV (might have been a Santa Fe); Connected the JS2000 and got the green light. The vehicle started on the first attempt. The temperature was right around 40F. The JS2000 was fully charged. Well done TOPDON.]
