Weller Professional WT 1012 (T0053440399N) 1-Channel Station Set, Digital 95 W with Soldering Iron WSP 80

This is my first soldering station and I had researched many brands and models, looking for a good quality station with excellent performance. The WT 1012 Station comes with the following hardware. WSR 201 (Weller Safety Rest) WSP 80 and 1x LT B tip. (Soldering Iron) WT 1 (Power Unit) The price is somewhat off putting, but I wanted quality with a product, which in this case was not lacking. The WSP201 (Weller Safety Rest) nice and heavy. Much better the the one that comes with the WE1010 station which I had researched in several videos. It comes with a reversible soldering iron holder and each end has a separate compartment for the sponge and brass wool. There is also a holder for extra tips which comes in very handy. The WT 1 Power Unit, is heavy and well built. The LED screen is bright and very clearly read. 4 push button below are easy to use and control temperature, menu settings etc. The Unit sits firmly on the bench and looks very good. The WSP80 soldering iron is nice to hold in the hand, lightweight and the cable is soft and flexible. The end connector is a 6 pin type and easily connected to the power unit by aligning the white line at the top of the connector, pushing firming in, and then turning the collar in a clockwise direct to lock it firmly in place. Powering on the unit is simple with an on/off toggle switch at the front and the tip heats up from cold in approx 10 seconds to approx 380c. Overall I have used this station only 3 times so far, but am very pleased with the quality and performance of the Station. The only downside with the whole unit is it only comes with 1 tip, an LT B (2.4mm in width), so I would suggest purchasing a few extra here on amazon when you make the purchase.
