It measures exactly as described, however, even though I knew how high it was, it still felt more ample when I held it. This was a gift to myself and I'm so happy with it, its so classy. If it had been bigger I think it would look OTT, its perfect. 

How big is the bottle without the stopper?

I gave it as a present - but as far as I can remember, it's about 3.5" high
