If I plant these as one garden how much space will I need?

I put mine in a long flower pan they did great but if you plant in ground about 3 to 4 inches apart . Last year mind turned out great. But the cold weather Destroyed the bulbs . Coldest weather this year since I been in flirida since 2004

Should these be planted now (july) or wait until fall? They wont grow/bloom until next year either way correct?

These should be now to allow them to grow and become established before going dormant in the fall.

Can these be planted in mid to late May?

Yes, but this year only half came up.

Live in wisconsin. Would they have to be dug up every year?

i do not plan on digging mine up this winter and I live in the north of Massachusetts
