I purchased this as tube packaging is much more convenient for travel, and I have used Paula’s Choice products previously. This was a serious disappointment as the balm doesn’t remove makeup and that is kinda its purpose. I took this with me on a recent trip as my first cleanser in the two step routine, and OMG, what a struggle this was to remove all eye and face makeup daily. In saying that, as this was a holiday, I didn’t even have much makeup on to begin with. I have very reactive and sensitive skin and as if that wasn't enough receantly I developed perioral dermititis and basically EVERYTHING that I tried to use burned my skin, caused more itchiness etc. So basicallyy I had to stop using almost everything in my routine. I decided to give this one a shot even tho it was a little more on the expensive side but OH MY GOD! 1st of all I love how nourishing my skin feels during and after use like I can definitely feel the difference, 2nd even tho it has like no fragrance i loooove the scent it feels very luxurious, i mean using it it's definitely a whole experience, 3rd it has yet to irritate my skin again even tho my skin is freaking out rn it actually has made improvements and lastly I was worried about the makeup removal part but let me tell you it takes EVERYTHING off my face, doesn't cloud my eyes and emulsifes beautifly. It had a very slight, natural coconut scent. With this latest tube, I noticed my skin being red and irritated and have had a few breakouts over a week. I've made no itger chages in my routine. Also the smell is more petroleum like, or maybe it's gone bad.. no coconut smell and the texture is different. It doesn't seem to clean as well. Idk if I got a bad batch or the formula has changed but I don't think I can trust it again and will be looking for a replacement.
