One Monitor and Two Cameras, gives me everything I want.
I purchased the 7 inch monitor with one camera, I installed the camera at the top rear of my 17 foot camp trailer. The camera is about 8 feet off the ground. Using a suggestion by others in the reviews here, I power the camera by tying into the clearance lights. I wanted to be able to see a good distance behind me and be able to see the back bumper. You really can't do this with one camera, splitting the difference was an unhappy medium.I purchased a second camera, and put it on channel two, pointing sharply down so I can see the back bumper and a few feet back. This is good for when backing in to a spot with a tree, or whatever at the back. I can see exactly how close I am. Also the long view camera might miss a child or toy, directly behind the camper, but this one will definitely see it.After shutting down and re-powering (like for a fuel stop) the monitor always goes to channel one, so this is my long view camera. I can see just about everything that is behind me, that the side mirrors don't show.I have thought about the adding side cameras, but so far the two in the back, combined with my side view mirrors are showing me every thing I need to see.I am towing with a 2014 Honda Pilot, and I place the monitor on the center console, in front of the beverage holders. I don't need to use the mount that comes with the monitor. The antennas at the cameras just peaks up above the top of the camper at the back and the antenna for the monitor is just above waist level in the Pilot, I was concerned there might be signal issues, but I have traveled hundreds of miles at 70+MPH without issue. This is also really good for changing lanes, The camera can see part of the lane next to you, so it is really easy to tell if the back of the camper is past the front of the car you just passed.I did the install, by myself, it was not difficult. I pared the camera to the monitor before installing the camera on the camper. I plugged the monitor into the 12V plug on the dash and connected the camera wires to the battery terminals under the hood of the car. The bolts that connect the camera to the mounts are tiny and non-ferrous (not magnetic) so I placed a tarp on the ground in case I dropped a bolt. The only thing I dropped was a washer an the tarp did help me find it quickly. I installed these at the start of the season, so I used the winter cover tarp as my drop cloth tarp.Overall I am very please, with the product and the install.*******************************************************************************************A couple of years later, new trailer, new tow vehicle, new camera and monitor.*******************************************************************************************Due to unrelated events Our camper was replace with a new slightly longer trailer. The tow vehicle was replace by a Honda Ridge line also a couple of feet longer. Overal lenght about 4 feet longer. The old cameras and monitors went with the old camper when it was traded in. So I repurchased a new single camera and monitor pair. The new camper came with a pre-wired mount for a different brand of monitor and camera which is SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive. The factor mount does not accommodate the yuwei camera and it complicates mounting the yuwei camera in the position near the roof at the back.I used a piece of steel and created a mount on the spare tire rack so the camera is just above the spare tire. It is easier to install working on the ground instead of a ladder. I am only using a single camera this time, so I adjusted it so the bottom of the image is about 5 feet behind the back bumper which also gives a good view of traffic behind you. I wired the camera to the left rear parking light, without difficulty and with good results. One difficulty with the new configurations. sometimes when traveling at around 70MPH there is a loss of signal. It lasts for a few seconds and then comes back.I was able to partially overcome this issue by remounting the monitor to the rear view mirror (there are handy loops on the back of the monitor, get some 3/4 inch Velcro tape and it easy goes on and off) this raised the monitor so there was less "truck" blocking the signal. There were still some signal losses at higher speeds but they were less often and recovered quicker.I have not noticed a loss of signal at lower speeds.Still happy with my choice, still a 5 star value.

This has been a wonderful Purchase and I couldn't be Happier.
This camera and monitor are very well made. The installation was very easy as you simply need a 12 volt power wire and a good ground to operate the camera and the same for the monitor. The picture quality is very, very good. The signal strength is great and in fact, I tested how far I could put the camera away from the monitor and still have a crisp, clear picture and the distance was more than 100 feet. You could use this for many other purposes as long as you have a 12 volt power source. The camera clarity is very impressive, When you back into a garage during the bright daylight the cameras picture is far better than what you see in the mirrors or with your naked eye. I have some very bright LED lights on the back on my vehicle for illuminating while backing and even when the lights were on and then suddenly turned off, the image in the monitor from the camera was perfect. The camera is heavier than I expected, which is NOT a problem and in fact, the housing for the camera is well made and very water proof as far as using it on the exterior of a vehicle in the rain or snow. The mounting of the monitor was very simple, I used one of the suction cups which came with the monitor and it has held the monitor without any issues. The vehicle in which this camera is mounted does have a rough ride at time and bounces when driven off the road, etc. If the monitor was going to come loose with the suction cup, it would have by now and it has NOT moved an inch. The monitor mounting bracket provides a wide range of adjustment options. The brackets hold the monitor securely and are widely adjustable with reasonable limitations which did not create any issues for my use. This purchase is one I would say has been PERFECT. The seller even followed up multiple times via email when I didn't post a review right away to make sure that I wasn't having problems with their product. The quality of both the monitor and the camera are very high. The wiring is fine and plenty of wire was provided for finding power sources to operate the camera and monitor. The camera mounting bracket holds it very secure.I would have to say that purchase has probably been the best one I have made this year from Amazon and I have had about 30 other purchases, according to my "orders" tab on Amazon's site.I can give you no reason to hesitate and not order this immediately. On a scale of 1 to 100, with 100 being absolutely ideal and everything perfect, I can honestly give this a 100 from my perspective and use. I have used this device now for about 35 hours and it's been great. This is one of those items that once you own it and have used it, you will not want to be with out it,.Note, the monitor is LARGE, but that is exactly what I wanted. The monitor is probably too large for install in anything smaller than a full sized truck, SUV, etc.************UPDATE****************It's now been over 3 months and I have used the camera for over 150 hours and it still works GREAT. Very happy with my purchase and find this camera is a great safety feature.

Works well
I’ve had this system for almost 6 years now, with 2 cameras. I have one camera on the back of my cab over camper and one on my 24’ enclosed trailer. All in all it performs remarkably well. When I tow the enclosed trailer with my motorhome the camera on the trailer is over 70’ back and it does drop frames it still works acceptably well. No problems when I tow it with my truck and camper. The screen has developed a couple of horizontal lines near the bottom but they don’t interfere too much.My one gripe is the power connection. There’s a short pig tail from the screen that connects to a long cord to the cigarette lighter plug, the connector between the two is proprietary. Powering it with USB would be great. When the screen finally bites the dust I like this system well enough that I’ll buy another.
