Hasegawa Ladders Lucano Step Ladder, Orange

I bought this ladder for my closet. I have a large trunk room that was built out as a closet, and this ladder is the right one for me. It is sleek and stylish. It's sturdy and holds me without any deflection in the ladder frame. The treads are a good size, as well. My favorite part is that it folds to a relatively narrow width and stands on it's own so that it isn't leaning on either clothes or the walls.

I will be doing a review on this product, but I did have to return this specific order. I ordered with full knowledge that the box was damaged. It clearly stated that the ladder was not damaged though. When it arrived the product was damaged inside the damaged box. The company gave me no issues in returning it, which was very nice! I re-ordered a ladder from elsewhere and am so happy with it, I wanted others to know how great the product is.I call it a ladder because it is so much better than just a step stool! This ladder is the nicest looking ladder you could ever see. We built a 250 sq foot tiny house, but that had very tall ceilings. I needed something that could reach 10 feet and this does the trick. It looks so nice though that I can leave it out and feel like it is an art piece all on its own. We used it durning our construction time as well, and it help up find. I wouldn't recommend this, but sometimes when you are building your own place, you just have to do what you have to do. It isn't not as 'sturdy' as an industrial ladder, but I don't expect it to be. I have had multiple 'heavy set' people climb on it without issue.One of the things I love the most about it is that it stands upright on its own! So cool! The black color feels almost matte to me, and it cleans up very nicely. It does have a few 'dings' in it, which makes me sad, BUT we used in for some construction. It also traveled 2,000 miles across the country when we moved the tiny house, so I'm not surprised that it has a little wear and tear.

I bought the white, 4-step version, and I love it. It's lightweight, easy-to-use, and stands very solidly on its own in the folded position (which is actually kind of scary until you get used to it). What drives this product up to a 5-star rating for me is that it looks so cool and sleek that l actually LIKE leaving it out in a visible location in my (white) kitchen!

this ladder is the best ever! Light weight but sturdy. Easy to move around. Can close it with one hand to move to other rooms for use. But since it is also eye pleasing, I leave open and in my living room for decoration when not in use. You will love it!

I was looking for an attractive step ladder I could leave out since I'm so short and need a ladder to reach the sink almost;) THIS is BEAUTIFUL, and top quality. Worth the price for sure!

This ladder is sleek, sturdy and just the right size. We bought it to use in the pantry and our closest. It has the modern look of our house and fits in perfectly!

We live in a loft with 15' to 16' ceilings. To stash all of our stuff, we created storage space up to nine feet up. With this step stool, we can get to most of what stored high up and, because it is an attractive ladder (great Italian red), we don't mind leaving it out and about. It's not too heavy, and appears to be well-constructed, and we feel pretty secure on it. It's not cheap, however. The price reflects a the fine design.

Beautiful color, light weight, when folded stands on its own as described but arrived with small scratches and punctures. I would have accepted the ladder as is but the punctures has sharp edges. Smoothing our the sharp edges would likely have ruined the finish.

This step ladder was a super purchase! It’s slightly taller than regular 3step ladders which is what we needed. It also stands on its own when folded! Easy to open up and feels very sturdy. We love it!

The orange color of the ladder was for me to 'it factor' for wanting to buy it. I imagined it would brighten up any place where you'd put it to use, a cheerful prospect for the long Canadian winters. After waiting for two months to find an orange specimen to become available, it did exactly that. The orange is positively glowing from the corner in the kitchen where I need it to reach impossibly high cabinets. One minus point of the design is that I find the distance between the steps larger than expected. My old Altrex DIY ladder that lives in the shed feels safer to descend from, but I figure that eventually I will get used to the new spacing.

We bought the orange one and it is a fabulous color. It stands by itself (no propping) and is super sturdy. The only complaint is that the rungs are shallow and “bite” into the bottom of one’s feet. With shoes it is totally fine but if you are using it for daily around the house kind of work you need to have shoes on.
