Absolutely fantastic!!!! beautiful color
Wow! love my results! I had been using another brand for so long and was nervous to switch but so glad I finally tried it! I liked that there's no Amonia in Naturtint and much better ingredients. My natural color is light to medium brown and I had been using color 7N Medium Blond from another manufacturer. Each time I used it though, my scalp burned and got red and the smell had been horrible. I also have a very dry scalp so I knew it was time to switch. I read that it's a good idea to go one number higher with Naturtint which would be similar to the one I previously used 7N. I chose 8N Wheat Germ Blond Naturtint. The color is fabulous!! It came out the same as the medium blond I used to use!! there's hardly any smell and for the first time in 15 years, no burning whatsoever on my scalp!! I did my roots first which took about 17 minutes, then I used the rest of the bottle it came with on the rest of my hair and left it on for 30 minutes. There's even some shiny parts to the color like highlights. The color you see on the box is very accurate. It covered my grays great too. I would HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Works Great!
I’ve had a great experience with this box hair dye. The color came out rich, even, and true to the box, and my hair felt soft and healthy afterward, not dry or damaged like with some other dyes. It was easy to apply, didn’t have an overwhelming smell, and the coverage was excellent, including grays. For an at home dye, the results were impressive and long lasting. I would definitely repurchase and recommend

Deal of the century.
I could not believe how well this covered my gray and made my hair so shiny! I love that there is no ammonia and that it is cruelty free. I am about 75% gray in the front and top, it covered just as well as the salon I have been going to. Highly recommend. I used 5N and it was not too dark, very natural. I am sold! The Quinoa conditioner that comes with it was the perfect moisture for my old hair. Not heavy, just right.

Good Product with minor issues
I want to preface this review with the fact that I'm a natural red-head, and many products -- especially dyes and colourants -- are not made with red-heads in mind. I wanted to mix things up and try out this hair dye because it has been recommended to me by another red-head that uses it for her greying roots. It looks beautiful on her, but she does have a slightly different shade of natural red hair, which I didn't think about before just slapping it on, so I'm not one to blame a product for my own mistakes. I admit that the colour of it while processing was scary dark and I thought I made a huge mistake. Once it was all washed out and mostly dried, it's a beautiful, warm, and chestnut-y colour. I purchased the terracotta blonde colour because I thought it would work close to my natural colour, which I have pictured in the first of the three pictures I've included in this review. My natural hair is definitely closer to the brighter orange end than to the colder, deeper red end. From the picture on the box, I thought it'd be lighter, but that's not what made me give it a 4/5 stars. Actually, I have carpal tunnel and found that if I was using the bottle of dye for longer than 3 minutes, it turned to a really thick gel that didn't want to come out of the bottle, and I had to squeeze the bottle really hard. I know the point of this hair dye is that it's gel, but a lot of it just wouldn't come out of the bottle without me having to take off the application tip and dump as much as possible into a gloved hand by shaking it quickly and aggressively. That's really my biggest complaint, that it just becomes so difficult to come out of the applicator. Maybe I'm alone on this issue because I already have wrist and joint issues, and that's okay. I just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone else has hand and grip difficulties. Other than that, I think I could get used to this colour. It had a nice smelling hair mask included with a decent amount for long, thick hair. I had to get two boxes because I have a lot of hair. I have sensitive skin, and it didn't irritate me at all. The dye itself didn't smell bad or chemically. My hair was left soft, and I think the colouration looks very natural. I dyed my eyebrows as well, and it looks like it could just be my natural hair colour. It looks warm and inviting, and it's just a shade or two darker than my natural hair. All around, a pleasant process. I think I'd also recommend this brand to others. I've tried other hair dye and colour deposits before in the past, and besides overtone, this felt like the most gentle and nourishing hair colorant for my hair. Lastly, I found that it washed out after processing much easier than other dyes that take well over 45 minutes just to run clear with two boxes of dye on my hair. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a less irritating, ammonia-free box dye.

EXCELLENT VEGAN HAIR COLOR
I used to model and worked for many hairstyling magazines. I was featured in hairstyling magazines for a very high end hair salon here in NYC. That was the first time I ever colored my hair. He colored my hair the same color that it already is, to “make it richer”. I’ve been doing exactly that ever since—I loved it!! I wasn’t covering grays at the time…..now I am. I’m also a lifelong vegan. The fact that Naturtint is vegan is ESSENTIAL for me!! And I can truly say it’s an excellent product. The color is rich. It definitely completely covers any grays I’ve got coming in. It leaves my hair feeling soft, sleek, shiny. Covers every corner. I highly recommend this product!!

Best hair color I have ever used!
After being priced out of my hair salon- $250 for partial highlights- and begining to get reactions to standard ammonia based dyes, I tried Madison Reed- color too dark and did not cover grays. I stumbled upon Naturtint and I am thrilled. I used 9N Honey blonde and got almost strawberry blonde from it, which I adore. My hair does pull to red tones so you may not go as red. This stuff is gel-like and did not drip. It smelled like nothing at all and I left it on for 30 minutes. The quinoa mask is great and my hair feels soft and looks fantastic. 6 stars if possible. I also love that you have the option of using only a portion for root touch up and getting two applications from pne purchase. That's spectacular.

A hair color that feels safe and looks gorgeous.
TL;DR: Rich dark color, tons of shine, gentle smell, and the only formula I’ve found that checks all the “safe ingredients” boxes while still looking amazing. Just be ready for a long first rinse. This is the only hair dye I’ve used that strangers have stopped me over, asking what shade it is. The color is very dark, but it doesn’t cross into that harsh, fake-looking territory. It settles in as a really smooth blue-black that looks intentional and pretty, not costume-ish. What I appreciate most is that I can use it without dealing with the cloud of chemical fumes you normally get with boxed dye. The smell is mild enough that I don’t get a headache or that burning feeling on my scalp, which is a first for me. It leaves my hair soft and shiny afterward instead of that stripped, squeaky feeling some dyes cause. The staying power is strong too. Even when my roots start coming in, the rest of the color holds onto its depth instead of washing out to a dull tone. If you want something that lasts without damaging your hair, this one really does it. But I will say the rinse-out is no joke. The very first wash after processing takes a while. I’m talking a solid twenty-plus minutes of rinsing until the water finally stops running dark. Once that part is over, the upkeep is easy, but the initial rinse just takes patience so you don’t end up with any leftover dye on your skin or towels. I’ve done a lot of digging into safer coloring options, and most products either have ingredients I won’t touch or just don’t work well. This is the only brand I’ve found that checks the boxes for safety while still giving results I can feel good about wearing out. It hits that sweet spot between gentle and effective, and that’s why I keep coming back to it. Tip: Put a little coconut oil or vaseline around your hairline before applying so cleanup is quick once you’re done. Hope this helps! =)

One of three fabulous natural products that work gently and well
I have been dyeing my hair since I was 21 (didn't want to see even one gray hair)so I consider myself a well-seasoned consumer of hair dyes. I have also had my hair done in NY and LA at top salons for a lot of money, so I consider this product among all those experiences and it comes out near the top. There are three products like this that I have used, Naturcolor, Herbaceuticals and this one, NaturTint. All of them are available at other sources and the local organic market but not at this attractive price. So, from an economics point of view, this is a bargain. But also from a hair care perspective, NaturTint excels. It smells pleasant and that is paramount to me. I cannot use any Clairol or Feria or Garnier products because they are so acrid and I have a sensitive olfactory. I like the fact that this product is natural and free of the typical carcinogens and immune compromising chemicals that are found in many of the cheaper, more commercial products of this type. The colorways are great and can be mixed and matched. I use 3N and top it with a dark blonde so I have a few highlights where my hair is gray. Like most of these products, it is slightly thick and can drip. Like other reviewers, I place a large old towel on the rug in my bathroom, to protect it and I wear a black cotton shirt while working with the product. I use a colorist's bowl and tools that I picked up cheaply at the local beauty supply shop. I use a foam 'brush' and a wide tooth comb and dab the mixture onto my hair in thick rows, then comb it through as needed. I only comb to the ends as I finish, so the most potent chemical action will spare them. I leave it on 30 minutes. When I wash it out, I only use the cream rinse that comes with the package - not the shampoo. I make sure there is a thorough rinsing under a brisk stream of cool water and that is all I need. I then gently comb through my hair while it is very damp and put on an anti-frizz that I like from John Frieda. Since I am a pharmaceuticals writer, I learned long ago that hair is most fragile when wet - so I handle it very gently until it is mostly dry, then I invert my head (I have shoulder-length hair) and blow it dry quickly. I style it later, just before I leave the house. The result is shiny, manageable, natural-looking and healthy hair, considering it is treated. I do this every 6 to 8 weeks and that works well for me, as I no longer wash my hair every day (as we age, our hair becomes dryer, thinner and more brittle, reducing shampoos will slow that process and keep hair strong enough to reduce breakage, in my experience). I use boar bristle round brushes and a non-laurel sulfate shampoo for colored hair. I honestly think, if I had continued using even my old favorite L'Oreal Natural Match my hair would eventually have aged more quickly than it does with this product. I started using NaturTint in the '90's and am happy it is still around. I also think the quality of the natural colors leaves me with a softer, more natural looking brunette.
