A-Z of Sewing for Smockers: The perfect resource for creating heirloom smocked garments (A-Z of Needlecraft)

I have not been able to put this book down since it arrived. I’m salivating at the thought of creating some beautiful garments for my grandchildren. This book has very concise and extremely clear instructions to guide the user in the construction of smocked garments. I’m amazed at the amount of techniques covered. Excellent book.

I liked all the info. It is presented in a clear and orderly manner. I am looking forward to a summer of smocking.

This book simplifies smocking techniques with easy to understand instructions and helpful pictures. Like all A-Z series books, it is a must have for beginners and pros alike.

I researched this book before my purchase. When I read some of the reviews that were negative of course I needed to know more about how the book was bound, as I already owned some of the books. The main thing I have to say is it is a great book and does meet all of my expectations and more.

This book give an overview (in an A - Z format) of basics for garment construction as related to smockers. It gives a general overview of different fabrics which is extremely useful if you can't make it to a fabric store (I have to order fabric over the internet). And, as I previously stated it covers construction techniques and terminology with both words and lots of pictures. I would have given it 5 stars if it had given more focus on fitting garments. I would definitely purchase this book again.

This book is a must for beginner smockers. I lost my copy and was thrilled to find this copy. Great book.

LOVE LOVE this book. I highly recommend this to smockers who construct their own garments after smocking. It is a reference book that I use all the time. It does not just "sit" on the bookshelf.

You can't go wrong with this smocking aide. I've used it a few times and have found it to be the most helpful. It was one of best purchases.
