IGN00145 replacement and works great. Replacement is easy if you know where to put it.
The hot surface ignitor (HSI) is an important part of your gas furnace that can fail. The way the HSI works is that it is heated to a high temperature. When flammable gases come in contact with HSI they ignite and generate heat. How do you know if HSI is working? The HSI heats and when it does it glows. It glows brighter that a 40 watt incandescent lamp filament. And you can see this from the glass hole. If you don't see the glow before the furnace fires up, perhaps this part has failed. I replaced mine as part of preventive maintenance. The last one was nearly 6 years old, still going but the ones before had failed every year or so. Every time it failed it was $300 to the company that replaced it. This time it was much less with the Emerson clone. It took about 10 minutes to get the job done. I have the old one still saved up in case this fails and I have to order another one. All in call happy with the purchase. How long it lasts is another story.

Scam, doesn't work and there is no warranty by Emerson.
The ignitor stopped working around three months. I contacted Emerson, I am supposed to have three years of warranty. I was told by Emerson support I need to contact White Rodgers instead because the product they are selling is not truly theirs and they did not provide any information to contact the company they want me to. Why is Emerson advertised in the description and why when I clicked for support on here from my purchase history it goes to the Emerson webpage? This is a scam.

Perfect Replacement
This is the perfect replacement for a Trane XE 80 furnace, White-Rodgers has some of the best high quality furnace parts at a good value.

Works well.. with some mods
Bought this for a Lennox G40UH(X) series furnace and the connectors were NOT a straight fit. This came with a male connector instead of the female pictured (so 1 star down). So I had to cut and replace it with the female connector from my existing filament. Other than that, it worked fine.

Fixed our Trane XV90
Used this to replace a White Rogers 768A-15 and worked perfectly. We had a tech from Atlas Trillo come out and told us the ignitor was bad and quoted $2300 to replace it and the gas valve but recommended we buy a new furnace as 'the ignitor was difficult to get and even if we replaced that there would probably be other issues in the seven stage ignition process'. Well there were other issues, he had unplugged the High Limit switch so after I replaced the ignitor I had to reconnect one wire to that which had been removed and tucked behind another part before the burners finally lit. There was no issue with the gas valve and I've no idea why he wanted to replace it.

Worked great for Trane XV90
Out of the blue my Trane XV90 stopped blowing heat and gave me two flashes of the red light every couple seconds. No glow in the combustion chamber, so broken igniter(this item). Considered OEM for 60-80, went with this, will update if/when it fails. Ordered two just to be safe. Looks exactly like the part it replaces, bracket is same, position in furnace is same, and once installed, lit up right away and out came the warmth. Magic.

Replaces American Standard furnace ignitor D343692
There was a marking on my existing ignitor, D343692. This ignitor is identical to that, the connector and metal bracket are a perfect fit. I would say it's the equivalent to IGN00145 / D343692. Works in my American Standard (same as Trane) furnace. EDIT: the ignitor failed after 2 months

Worked, confirmed to be a direct replacement of "768A-15, A341947P01"
This fixed my gas furnace problem. It replaced my prior ignitor 768A-15 that measured 1.6 k-Ohms, indicating a fault (and it also wasn't working). Before installing I measured a resistance of 16 Ohms. It worked upon turning on my furnace and having the thermostat call for heat, successfully igniting the gas into flames for my furnace.

Worked for 3 months
Only lasted 3 months, not the longevity we hoped.

Bought as a spare part
I bought this as a spare part for my American Standard Freedom 80 furnace. The original ignitor is still working after 11 years but risk of failing could happen soon and at the worst time. This part looks identical to the 2009 original (768A-15) and is also White Rodgers and made in Mexico. (768A-815 is the new number for 768A-15) I seen a few say it failed. If your replacing the ignitor after failure make sure it is the exact right part! There are a few variations in length, watts and voltage (ie: 768A-844 is slightly shorter then 768A-815) Also do not touch the element during install! Not following this will greatly shorten the life.
