For a floating desk too close to the wall to use monopod desk mounts for DSLR
I like it a lot so far. Installed it yesterday, fits my 27" dell monitor and humano vesa arm well. I put an XT-5 on it for a webcam and the height on it is just right. One important thing to note if you're doing a setup like this is you want to make sure that you have OIS somehow. The reason being, using this causes your monitor to sit slightly farther away from the actual mounting point due to the spacers and longer screws required. With the center of gravity shifted away from the mounting points, there is some minor bob that can happen when you touch your desk or something attached to your desk that your camera will definitely pick up with OIS off. With OIS on, I am having no problems. The shelf itself is nice and light. It's slightly tricky to attach without a second person helping you, but it isn't rocket science. A buddy is recommended. It's lightweight, sturdy, and for me at least was the right tool for the job of turning my XT-5 into a webcam.

Convenient Mount for Sony ZV-1 Webcam, but Limited Positioning Options
The HumanCentric DSLR Monitor Mount proved to be a handy solution for mounting my Sony ZV-1 webcam. Its sturdy construction provided a reliable and secure hold for my camera. However, it falls short when it comes to positioning flexibility. While the mount served its purpose well, allowing me to attach my Sony ZV-1 webcam easily, I found its range of adjustable positions somewhat limited. The mount has fixed positions and doesn't offer much room for adjustments or different viewing angles. This restriction can be a downside if you require more flexibility in positioning your camera. To overcome this limitation, I supplemented the mount with a pivoting gimbal screw mount. This additional accessory allowed me to achieve a greater range of camera positions, giving me the versatility I needed for various recording setups. I achieved better camera angles for streaming and zoom calls with the combined HumanCentric DSLR Monitor Mount and the pivoting gimbal screw mount. Overall, the HumanCentric DSLR Monitor Mount is reliable for mounting the Sony ZV-1 webcam. While it may lack the desired flexibility in positioning, it can still serve its purpose effectively. Consider supplementing it with a pivoting gimbal screw mount or similar accessory to unlock a wider range of camera positions. With this combination, you can enhance your recording setup and achieve the desired angles for your content creation needs.

100mm VESA only!
I guess I looked at several brands, and didn't notice that this only has holes for 100mm VESA. I like the look of it, and I think it will clean up some of my desktop. But I'm either going to have to drill, or buy a 75 to 100 adapter. I read a review that says it's light weight. I don't think anything I plan on using will strain it. I'm using a Canon R50 and a couple of SmallRig lights. I don't see that causing any problem for this plate.

Best thing I didn't know I needed
For less than the price of a good microphone arm, I got this and an assortment of short articulating arms meant for cameras and related equipment. I now have my webcam and short shotgun microphone mounted above my monitor, AND a very handy USB-powered diffuse red light as a recording indicator. Cables are out of the way, and the whole thing is on a monitor arm. Instead of my webcam being gently resting atop my monitor (with the webcam's included stand), it's now firmly mounted and I can confidently move my monitor arm without concern for expensive equipment falling. One downside is there aren't enough screws included, but they're standard 1/4"-20 thread screws that you can get at any serious camera store or, um, right here. Anyway, you can probably find better screws or more conveniently sized thumb screws than what's included. Another downside is there are no 1/4"-20 *nuts* (or thumb wheels) included at all. Some devices you'll want to mount may have a screw, not a threaded hole, so you'll need a nut. Anyway, these are also easily obtained. I could've rated this lower for those 2 downsides, but honestly I'm so happy I randomly found this product that so perfectly fit my needs, and those minor issues were easily (and cheaply) remedied. After finding this, I looked for similar products just to get a sense of what was out there, but this was the only one of this size (I have the larger one) which was a single piece of metal. Others were 2 pieces welded or screwed or riveted together, which would be a point of failure or of loosening. No thanks, this one was the best.

This is super overprice
Even is overprice is not good quality, I got another one for 20 dollars on amazon that's heavy duty and works great. I wonder why the overpricing something that's is not good quality. Model I recommend "MOUNT-LS16A" I got 3 of these already.

Works well, installation is slightly a pain if using the bushings + monitor arm.
I installed this on an Dell P2723QE 27" monitor hooked up to an ergotron monitor arm. I like that this was pretty lightweight compared to some other shelfs so was easily supported by the monitor arm. It seems good quality. With my monitor, I had to use the bushings since the vesa mount on the monitor slightly inset on this monitor. The problem with using the bushings is that on the back of your monitor, you have the screw holes on the back of the monitor, then the bushings, then the shelf, and then the monitor arm's vesa mounting bracket to screw in in one go. The bushings easily move around and out of place when you're trying to line everything up and put the screws in at first. To help, I used some painters tape to hold them in place against the monitor and then removed the painters tape as soon as I got the screws loosely in.

Good idea, but not stable enough for my setup
I bought this for my WFH setup to use with my Logitech Brio 4K camera, hoping it would be a clean mounting solution. Setup itself was straightforward, but I ran into some issues once everything was in place. The included screws didn’t hold securely to my monitor, and even after trying replacement screws that fit my monitor better, the mount still had too much wiggle. Because it sits between the monitor and the mounting point, it never felt fully stable in my setup. I also had trouble with height. My camera wasn’t able to sit high enough to see properly over the top of my monitor, and it seems like a taller wedge would be needed than what’s shown in the product photos, especially for larger monitors. I like the idea behind this item, but for my setup I prefer a separate mounted pole, similar to what Elgato offers for cameras and key lights, which feels more stable and adjustable. This may work for smaller or thinner monitors, but it wasn’t the right fit for my needs.

Great form factor. Compact. Incredibly useful.
Works great for my setup. Love the form factor. Installation was easy. I just needed to buy longer screws for my AW3225QF as the stock screws that came with this weren’t long enough. It wasn’t that big of a deal though. I’m just glad a found a solution for my a6000 camera! This is one of the best additions I’ve made to my setup. Another great Amazon find!

Genial
