This is much better than the shopvac brand version.
I like this carpet cleaner! I have been looking for a canister style carpet cleaner for a while and had a very bad ecperience with a similar style from shop-vac brand, so i returned that and purchased this one. it promptly cleaned up the mess the other one made It feels much more robust than its competitor. The clean water line is integral to the vac tube so it wont get snagged on things. The back wheels are very big and the front ones swivel so its easy to pull around. The hose attaches with a threaded coupling so you wont accidentally yank the hose off. The clean water hose has secure clips at every junction that will click into place to prevent leaks. The remote handle is a very convienient feature so you dont have to keep returning to the base to turn on and off the sprayer or vac, you can just press the buttons on the handle. The vac and spray functions work independently. The upholstry shampoo head on the wand has some stiff bristles that really help get stains up. And the head opens up for easy unclogging and cleaning. The wider carpet and floor attachment has a removable brush and squeegee to switch from carpet to hardfloors. The dry floor attachment has a carpet and bare floor mode as well, lowering stiff statonary bristles. It doesnt weigh much when empty, but plan your end point to be near a tub, toilet, drain or outdoors so you dont have to lift it too drain. The spray function sprays really well compated to others. The suction is really good, leaving the carpet barely damp and it dried by morning. Swapping from wet to dry is fairly easy, just empty the contents and let it dry or wipe it out, and put the appropriate filter in, either foam for wet, or cartridge and bag for dry. Its a semi-loud machine, so it may scare your cats or dogs, but most carpet cleaners are, so that wasnt an issue for me. It has a wire rack to store the tube in, but the onboard extension wand storage is only available on the 6 gallon, not the 8, because of the different wheel placement. It cleaned up months old cat vomit stains in just a few passes with some zep, i have not tried the solution it comes with but it did smell mild and not overpowering when i sniffed it. Only use low foaming cleaning solutions as with most carpet cleaners. Remember to rinse out your attachments and hoses and leave the tube port open for the machine to dry all the way if you want to avoid any smells. Both the wet and dry filters are washable, let the dry one dry all the way before re-installing Overall a good experience. I would reccommend this product to anyone with carpets, pets, cars, or kids. Cleva north america is vacmasters parent company, they also make the amorall and kenmore carpet cleaners. *if youre comparison shopping and considering the "shop-vac" brand, save yourself the hassle and get the vacmaster one. The shopvac brand version shot clean water out of the motor housing exaust port all over the place which im pretty sure is a electrocution hazard but also rendered the carpet cleaning function inoperable.

5 stars because of the price and it get the job done
I give this extractor 5 stars not for its build quality, not for its design or features. I give it 5 stars because it gets the job done for a fraction of the price of the pro extractors. I have purchased 3 of these vacmasters extractors. The first one I bought was about 7 years ago and it had a better design and build quality than these new models. The new are not as good as the first model. I don't like the battery powered remote. The water pump that spray the water out is not as strong as the first model and the spray nozzle are very cheap and placed in the wrong spot. The handle is bulky and not that easy to maneuver. It's definitely cheaply made however. It has a strong suction motor. The vacuum works like a champ it has a ton of attachments that allow you to do sofas and house carpes. But like I said the 5 star is because it gets the job done and it cost less that 20% of a professional extractor. I have purchased 3 of them in the past 7 years. I used them every day vigorously. If you keep the filters in and cleaned the motor will last for years. I just bought my third one and I'm waiting on it's arrival. The second just stopped working about 4 days ago. When I say stopped working I mean the motor stopped powering on it could just be a switch but they are so cheap and I have used it for 3 or 4 years I'm not going to waste a second trying to fix it. They are cheap but they look good to the customers. When the customer ask do I have an extractor to shampoo seats I say yes of course. Not a single customer complained.

Don't waste your money.
I have it, and hate it. I'm a mobile detailer so shampooing seats is something I offer in my higher packages. Pros: - good suction - long power cord (like 20') - large capacity Cons: - HORRIBLE construction. No matter how many times I tinkered with the large wheels and adjusted clips and washers, they fell off every single time I used it. - The clips that hold the top to the body and tank together are very weak and unclip very easily if carrying it from the top handle. I've had it unclip at least 15 times and twice it's come completely off and splashed forbidden chocolate milk into my mouth 🤢🤮 - the signal on the remote head is very weak so often times I have to put my hand outside the vehicle while holding it to turn it on and off - the water sprayer leaks like crazy so you'll shut the water off and it'll keep dripping unless you constantly shake it off - my sprayer piece already broke off so water just falls out of the head if I try and use it. So now I have to carry a 2-gallon pump sprayer of DI water with me to rinse and extract with. Mind you, I bought this last December and MAYBE used it 10 times and the thing is basically totalled and is just a glorified wet/dry vac at this point. Detailers: you're better off buying a RIGID vac and doing the extractor mod to it. Save your money.

Has positives and negatives
It's a real good vacuum it's motor is quite powerfull making it's suction power superb. Using it for a few months there are just a few positive and negative. Positive: 8 gallon size is just right not too bulky and not too small. Powerful motor, and so suction is great! Various attachments makes it ideal. Built is very durable, can take rigorous use without breaking. Negative: The wet vacuum aspect needs a tiny 9 volt battery sparete from the supplied power, when it goes dead or the first time you have to remember that's it's there otherwise you might want to return it saying it stopped working. The hose that carries the chemicals to spray breaks easily, so right now that feature is not working for me. The drain plug is way above the base, so it's almost impossible to drain all the water after sucking up liquid.

The wheels suck but it's a good machine once you secure the wheels
Edit I don't regret purchasing this machine. Just make sure you secure the wheels with wire. I like the machine. Easy to use. I use it for regular household cleaning. If it wasn't for the wheels I'd give it a 4. Construction other than the wheels is good. Well the wheels are good but the clamps that are supposed to hold them in are not suited to do so. _____ I requested a replacement and I had the same issue with the wheels. It's a decent machine. So, I'm gonna keep it but I had to come up with a solution to keep the wheels on. I wrapped some jewelry wire and glue around it. Let it dry then put the hubcap on it. Original Review: It has good suction power. However every time I tried to use it the wheels fell off. I took the hubcaps off several times to fix it. Until I was fed up and glued the hook to the washer with weldbond glue in hopes they would not come out. Before gluing the hooks to the washers I couldn't roll the machine to another room without the wheels falling off. After glueing I was able to roll back and forth. I was cleaning a septic backup so I was back and forth. The wheels did not fall off... The next day, moved the machine and the wheels were loose Ugh. I had to clean up a mess so I couldn't bother with fixing it. I only had one small room to clean so I figured they would last. Lol, I pulled the hose to vacuum the water up and the dang wheel came off. The machine was leaning and the water was coming from the side or bottom. At this point I just started 😢 crying because I wanted to cuss and kiçk the machine. .on top of that the hose and suction adapter for wet vac is not comfortable to use. I have to keep adjusting it. I watched so many reviews on this expecting it to be good. But this isn't working for me. I thought I got a good deal but this is too much work. And very frustrating. I couldn't find a link to contact the store. I always have that issue on Amazon. So it's not the stores fault. But as much as I want to like this and keep it. I will have to send it back. Maybe this is just a bad machine. Idk...but I swear it will give me HBP and grey hairs.

Does the job with some flaws though
I would like to start off this review by saying the effectiveness of the vacuum is not my gripe here. The vacuum works well for wet or dry. My two main complaints with this would be the wheels and the price. The cotter pins for the wheels just fall right out. They are no where near the correct size so as of right now the machine sits with no big wheels on it as they just kept falling off with the slightest of movements. If I had to say anything else negative about the mechanics it would be the pressure of the water that comes out of it. Just isn’t enough. Barely a sprinkle. I feel as for the price I paid for this it should’ve been a little better constructed to say the least. Especially considering after doing my research this product is made by the same company as the Hart brand that’s at Walmart for half the price. I feel as if I got a little ripped off on the product thinking it was far superior to what I could buy at my local department store.
