Product Description Jean (Gad Elmaleh), a shy young bartender, is mistaken for a millionaire by a beautiful, scheming opportunist named Irene (Audrey Tautou). When Irene discovers his true identity, she abandons him, only to find that a love-struck Jean has no intention of letting her get away. Jean's comical attempts to gain her affections gradually evolve into setting himself up as a gigolo at a luxury hotel, until Irene finally starts to warm to her persistent, persuasive suitor. Against the wildly atmospheric backdrop of the south of France, Pierre Salvadori (APRES VOUS) directs this sexy and thoroughly charming romantic comedy, which is a fresh re-imagining of the cinema classic, BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S. .com Priceless provides a sweet and sour look at the world of the super-rich. Jean (The Valet's Gad Elmaleh) works at a luxury hotel on the French Riviera. His opposite number, Irène (Amélie's Audrey Tautou), lives off wealthy men, like elderly benefactor Jacques (Vernon Dobtcheff). While staying at Jean's Biarritz hotel, Irène meets the bartender, mistakes him for a guest, and plies her considerable charms. Flattered, Jean neglects to tell her the truth, and they spend a drunken evening together. The next day, she's gone. The only trace of her presence: a discarded paper umbrella. A year passes, and Irène returns with Jacques, who dumps her when he find out about the cheating, so she bilks Jean out of everything he owns before disappearing again. Wealthy widow Madeleine (Marie-Christine Adam) offers to takes care of Jean's debts--for a price. And just like that, he's sunk to Irène's level. The next time she sees him, she quips, "Now we're equals." So, instead of teaching her the value of legitimate work, Irène teaches Jean how to play Madeleine like a violin. Following in the footsteps of Pierre Salvadori's Après Vous, which centered around a suicidal sommelier, Priceless is unexpectedly melancholy for a comedy. Like the couple in Breakfast at Tiffany's, Jean and Irène are essentially two lost souls. Irène may be an icier creature than Audrey Hepburn's Holly Golightly, but Salvadori finds a satisfying way to tie a pretty bow on this somewhat prickly package and, naturally, the scenery is ravishing. --Kathleen C. Fun, upbeat and awesome with great lead actress and actor
This movie is in the French language, but you can obviously use captions in many other languages. The cast is impeccable and the story fun,It reminds me of an upbeat Breakfast at Tiffany’s with the lead female actress carrying her weight close to Audrey Hepburn who is my favorite female actress of all time. The cast and story is fun, entertaining and romantic, so grab some popcorn and chocolate, maybe some wine and pizza and enjoy. I highly recommend this positive, fun and upbeat movie to anyone man or woman, it’s a great movie

Love and Money
Audrey Toutou is one of my favorite foreign actresses. She is very versatile and in this movie, she plays a high-class call girl Irene, who latches on to rich men and milks them until they dump her. While in the Riviera, she stays in a hotel when Jean, a waiter works. He is immediately infatuated with her. Of course he knew he had no chance until one night she mistakes him for a rich man and he perpetuates the charade and that's were the story gets very interesting. I love this movie because it is funny, adorable, and touching.

Refreshingly fun romantic comedy
As an American who lived in France for two years (and dislikes a lot of french films), I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this movie. I'm not much of a romantic comedy kind of guy as I think most american films on the issue are cheesy, cliched and stale. Initially I wanted to see this film because I love Audrey Tatou (Amelie was a phenomenal film). I was pleasantly surprised that the plot to this film was nothing like the irritating romantic comedies of the US. A different kind of love story, and refreshingly funny too, this film will have you smiling from ear to ear from beginning to end! Highly recommend it!

An Enjoyable Story of Love
I throughly enjoyed the film, "Priceless," directed by Pierre Salvadori. The film touches on one of the things that I find most interesting about us, as human beings, and that is our desire for money and the prestige that goes along with it. The film portrays money as the driving force behind one of the most important decisions a person can make in their life and that is who they will marry? The director, Pierre Salvadori is also responsible for writing the screenplay. Salvadori has a very extensive background as a filmmaker, in fact, he has written or directed over twenty films, including films like "Wild Target" or "Beautiful Lies." One of the ideas presented in this film was the idea of guilt as it pertains to money. Both the main characters Irene and Jean, do not seem to feel any sort of guilt when it comes to the lengths they are willing to go to, in order, to get what they want. This includes seducing men and women, in order to live off of their fortunes. This is particularly eye-opening to me, someone who has worked for every penny that she has spent on herself. In this way, the actions of the characters in this movie go against everything that I believe in. Perhaps, this is why I thought it was so enjoyable.Another idea which was seen throughout the movie was the idea that love conquers all. This film is an example of how no matter how hard you try to ignore it, love will always win. Despite the fact that neither Irene nor Jean have any money, they decide it doesn't matter. Instead, love is what is most important. I think this idea gives me hope that, in my future, I will meet someone who feels the same way. There were several aspects of this film that I found to be very French. This includes the fashion. On many occasions in the film, Irene could be found wearing very fancy designer clothes, including a Chanel purse. Another aspect of the film which I found to be very French is the openness with which the characters spoke to each other. The characters were very proud of the fact that they were living off of their romantic partners, during the movie. I know that for me, this aspect of the film, was a bit awkward to watch just because I was not expecting either of them to want to share this with one another.

Love this movie!
First off, I love French films, especially romantic comedies. I often find them more heartwarming and sophisticated than American ones. This particular story takes place on the French Riviera, and that alone makes it worth watching. It's not as predictable a story as one would imagine and the end is satisfying. Audrey Tatou and Gad Elmaleh have wonderful chemistry. This movie is more endearing than laugh out loud funny, but I have watched many times over and enjoy it every time. If you love romantic comedies, you can't go wrong with "Hors de prix" (Priceless).

Audrey Tautou's beauty
This movie showcases Audrey Tautou and Gad Almaleh. It shows a cat and mouse interchange between the two, Tautou is searching for a wealthy husband who will give her a life of luxury. Almahleh has no wealth at all. In the end they ride off into the sunset with nothing but what is most important.............Love! The movie shows throughout Audrey Tautou's incredible beauty and talent as an actress.

Priceless...
I can't anything to the already positive reviews about this film.Everything that one sees in "Priceless" has been done many times before.Guy meets girl.Guy falls for girl.Guy drains bank account...(and on and on...)But with Audrey Tautou - you just don't seem to mind...Audrey continues to lend a "freshness" to seemingly every role she plays.A fun and entertaining film...with heart!!Merci, Audrey (keep up the good work)!I rate "Priceless" by Audrey Tautou...Five stars!

High class fantasy pablum
A good B movie about high class wealthy people using and being used by whorish lower class husters. Audrey Tatou turns in an excellent performance as usual.
