Great for specific applications
This would work great as a thin client or as a sort of replacement for a raspberry pi. I use mine to display signage and it works great. Some things to consider: The storage is not expandable. The storage is slow flash memory. It uses about 5W while running.

little computer with a lot of potential
Included power supply plug is not compatible with the unit and needs an adapter. Also, it was quite dirty when it arrived, but that's expected from second hand units. It's a good value for a small low power computer. Great alternative to raspberry pi diy projects.

NIce package. Small.
Be sure to research it before buying. There is a lot of material out there. End of Life is approaching soon.

Great little unit.
Excellent for terminal services. Just be VERY gentle with the power button, or you'll end up getting a replacement.

Read carefully! Not a PC
This unit does not have windows installed. It comes with some simple form of Lenox. I’ve had it too long to send it back but I would. If your not a network engineer don’t do it.

good for office applications, bad for multimedia
I got these in hopes of using it for digital learning with the kids. I connected them to a high end server running RDS and Windows 10 VMs. Everything worked great until I started to stream videos from Youtube. There was noticeable lag in the video and audio (lip sync). This is a known issue with RDP it would seem. I would give it 5 stars, however, the audio delay was a deal breaker.

Works with the right software
I simply bought the Dell Wyse 3040 to play with, but when I found it had a sodered-in 8GB flash drive on the board, I was determined to load a working operating system on it. I knew it had to be a light version of Linux to fit and operate. I found several versions that would run from a USB flash drive, but none would see the built-in flash drive as a system drive. I wanted to use it to boot from. Nothing would install to it until I tried LUNBUTU. Once the install was completed, I had a neat little office machine on my desk that included the Labre Office package. You will have to use an external USB drive of some kind for the storage of documents and pictures. The built-in flash drive is maxed out with the system.
