Top notch mini rice cooker
This is probably the best mini rice cooker for 1 person, without breaking a bank. I love the ceramic inner bowl, and the utensils it comes with. The device is very compact, perfect for small kitchens or if you have little storage space, and it looks beautiful. The control panel is easy to read and use, and because it is like-touch control, it's easy to clean. Most importantly, it cooks perfect rice for 1-2 people. This is the only rice cooker I found to be able to perfectly cook a small single portion of rice (half a cup of uncooked rice, about 90ml). I really needed it just for that, single portion of rice, as I have a full size multicooker, which I love, and which can cook, steam, roast and bake a variety of dishes, but the minimum amount of rice in my multicooker is just too much for myself. This Tsuki cooker can also handle other pulses, like pearl barley, and can be used as a clay pot. The keep warm function does work for 24 hrs, although I found it is best to use the cooked food within 12-15 hours. After cooking, all it needs is just a wipe with a damp cloth on the inner lid and rim, and wash clean the ceramic bowl. The power cord detaches from the unit, and can be stored inside the bowl when not in use. This little beauty is worth every penny.

Really, really good.
Perfect size for 2 people. Could easily do 3/4. Great for the price. Makes very fluffy voluminous rice. But also does good porridge.

I am very happy with my rice cooker.
I love the design, its easy to clean and maintain and look nice. I haven't had it long and I have only cooked basmati rice with it so far, but the rice came out perfectly. Its also easy and simple to use. It looks and feels well made, but time will be the true judge of that.

Lovely rice, shame about the display.
There are two major advantages with this machine. Firstly, the rice is perfectly cooked and will keep warm for hours, and secondly it has a ceramic bowl which just needs a wipe. No more sticky pans to clean. This machine also has a cute compact design. The only fly in the ointment is the ridiculously dim display on the front. These days modern kit has these super bright clear led displays but this baby is barely visible in daylight. Also worth noting that due to its compact size it will do a max of three portions of brown rice but 5 of white.

Perfect rice
Love this rice cooker! I got it as I grew sick of my badly cooked rice, either sloppy or burnt. Makes perfect rice, simple to use (just fill up the cup with rice and then fill up to appropriate waterline in the bowl) and saves so much time and effort. You have to plan ahead of your meal so you allow the cooking time but that’s fine to plan for when it means you’re not stood at the stove minding rice in a pan. The keep warm feature is helpful so the rice is still hot if you’re not quite ready for it. Easy enough to clean if you do it straight away - spoons and cup all go in dishwasher but the inner bowl needs handwashing. The ceramic is naturally non-stick so washes clean easily, just needs a quick rinse. I dry it off immediately and leave upside down on a tissue to dry fully as you inevitably get a bit of water on the bottom of the bowl, so this needs to dry thoroughly so as not to damage the ceramic. Read the instructions fully re care of the ceramic bowl! I just run a piece of kitchen roll around the seal to dry that after each use, again easy enough if you do it right away. (Or at least as soon as you’ve finished your meal.) Also has a few handy recipes, though I’ve only used it for basic rice so far.

It's a great rice cooker
Having struggled to make consistently good rice over the years, I finally invested in this rice cooker. I have to say that it has been a revelation - you can simply set it to work and 40 mins (approx) later you have perfectly cooked rice. No saucepans boiling over or running dry, you can concentrate on whatever else you are cooking for your meal. It is especially useful because it reduces waste - when you are measuring rice freehand with a measuring jug I always seemed to make way too much. This is precise. Also, it is fine to make half a cup (supplied measuring cup) for a good single portion if eating alone. The only down sides (and they are slight niggles) are these: 1. The control display is quite dim to read. So if the cooker is on a kitchen worktop in a lit kitchen, you will find yourself bent over with your glasses on trying to read it. It's not a show stopper, but it's a bit annoying. 2. The instruction booklet could (should) be rewritten. It came with an insert card as well, which seems to have been an attempt to head off questions arising from the booklet, which is great, but in my view it could have been clearer from the start. Having said all that, I will still give five stars because the quality of the rice it produces is excellent, and removes the complication of good rice preparation from your time at the stove.

Only one thing to mention
It's a smart cooker so cooking times vary a little. I wish there was a countdown on the front to give an idea how much longer to go. As it is it only gives a ten minute prompt so hopefully your meal can be arranged in that time.

Overcooked rice in a jiffy
I just don’t seem to be able to eat the rice made in the rice cooker. It’s so overcooked and the settings don’t allow me to set it for less than 40 mins. I think the fuzzy logic doesn’t work clearly. When I tried to use less water, it turns at the bottom. Quite disappointing but my dog seems happy. Not even sure I can send it back now. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Garnek super. Świetna jakość i wykonanie. Bez zastanowienia kupilibyśmy go jeszcze raz. Polecamy!

TLDR; Better than I expected. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a compact but versatile/efficient rice cooker. + Perfectly, evenly cooked rice. Nothing sticks to the bottom. Cooked rice is still tasty even after microwaving the next day. (if stored properly) + Compact and stylish, looks premium, digital display + According to the product description, it serves 1-2 people but can actually serve 3-4 people at a time if you cook the maximum amount. A welcome surprise. - Somewhat plastic odour on the first round of cooking. First batch is recommended to toss away though according to the manual. - May not be suitable for bigger families (It's a smaller rice cooker for a reason) - Approx. 40 minutes cooking time for long/short grain. 1 hour and 15 minutes for Yumami mode. Might be considered too long to some. For those who are more interested in a more in-depth review: 1. Background 2. What made me buy it? 3. My experience so far (Jasmine rice - Yumami mode and Sushi rice - short grain mode) Background I'm a home cook with southeast Asian roots and raised in Sweden. I've used regular cheap pots on the stovetop to cook rice for the past 10 years at least. Somewhere during this time I had bought a cheaper rice cooker from a Swedish retailer which was very underperforming, which then has made me doubt rice cookers overall. What made me buy it? Yum Asia was a new brand for me and when it comes to new brands, I am often sceptical. I looked through people's reviews on Amazon and did some research on Yum Asia as a company before I decided to buy this. Most of the Swedish reviews on Amazon were satisfied with this product as well. The main selling points for me about this rice cooker was the following: 1. Cooking sushi rice (short grain) 2. Size. For a small household fit for 1-2 people this was perfect. It's compact and pretty. Everything else in the product description was just extra for me. My experience so far Cooking done according to instructions provided (Correct cup measurement and right amount of water according to the line in the pot). Jasmine rice (Yumami) While I can't exactly describe how the Yumami mode was for me, overall cooking rice with this product has made a huge difference compared to stovetop cooking. I no longer have to keep watch on my stovetop or adjust the heat manually (e.g. when water may boil over), the rice cooker takes care of everything from start to finish and makes a discreet beep to signal when it's about 10 minutes left. Even when turned off, the rice cooker and clay pot keeps the rice warm for a good while too. The quality of the cooked rice is also different in a good way, every bite of rice made with the rice cooker (Yumami mode or not) feels consistent and evenly cooked, also retains its moisture and doesn't dry out the next day. I always make extra rice for lunch boxes and when I used to make rice on the stovetop, usually the rice would feel a little dry when I microwaved it the day after. The rice made in the rice cooker tasted just as good the day after or two after microwaving it. Sushi rice (short grain) Overall good but the rice was too soft/soggy even if I followed the measurements. Of course this may vary on the type of rice but it was still enjoyable. I might have to decrease the amount of water next time.
