Works for me
This was the only one I could find with the length and options I needed because I wanted to connect to the side not the top. It is working and I've had it set up for six weeks, we even had a tropical storm with maybe 40 mph wind gust, and it hasn't budged. The poles are very sturdy metal. I wish they were 1 inch longer or if there was an option just to buy one longer pole. The metal poles are very heavy, and do contribute to some of the unsteadiness, because I have this attached horizontally rather than vertically. The joints are all plastic. I am pretty certain if you wanted to take this apart and move it a lot it would fail pretty fast. I tightened the knob at the mount as much as I thought I could without cracking it. It really wants to spin to the left but since I don't touch it at all it has stayed. The other two joints in the middle are like gears so you do not have a high degree of custom positions, it's approximately a quarter inch for each turn. It took a lot for me to get the shoe off to mount it on the side instead, they give you an Allen wrench and I ended up laying it on the floor and stepping on the wrench with my foot because it was screwed on so tight. I had a very specific and unique situation and this worked so I'm giving it five stars. I also thought it was a very fair price. If you need to mount something and leave it there, I highly recommend this. It would also work well if you only have to turn it where the bar connects to the clamp in a vertical situation. I do wish it came in white but maybe I will paint it one day. Note that the piece on the top where I have the ring outdoor cam attached is something I already had (repurposed selfie stick camera holder), it did not come with this. This came with a ball joint attachment that I did not use.

Really good quality
This overhead camera desk mount works great for top-down recording. It’s sturdy, easy to set up, and holds my camera securely without wobbling. I like that it doesn’t take up much desk space and stays in position once adjusted. Overall, solid quality and a good value for the price.

Very sturdy and adjustable desk mount, pretty rough adjustment mechanisms.
I purchased this camera arm specifically to get top-down video, for this it works very well. I am able to mount my Panasonic Lumix G9 to the mount just fine, there's a very small amount of sag, but it's not really a problem. The construction is advertised as mostly steel, though steel comes in many different types for varied use cases, they don't list the type of steel used. The screws used to tighten down the different clamps and lock the arm in position are capped with a plastic end so you can hand tighten them. The steel used is not magnetic which did ruin a plan I had for routing cables using magnetic hooks. You can adjust the arm to fit whatever need you have, though adjusting it is not a very smooth process as the movement is pretty stiff. There are 7 adjustment points, 6 of which are grouped in sets of 2 so 1 screw loosens the hold on both adjustment points. The grouping of adjustment points means that it's hard to get precise movement when adjusting a single section. This problem is coupled with some limitations in the design where you have to rotate the sections to different positions for certain axis movements. This arm works well holding your camera in place but if you need something to move your camera around a lot, this is not it. If you're looking for something you plan on setting in one position and only occasionally moving, this will work just fine. Overall, I'm happy with the mount for my use case, but I'd only recommend purchasing if you need something you plan on keeping fairly stationary. It feels solid and supports my camera well, but easier adjustment would be nice.

A Solid Metal Giraffe for Your Camera
The TARION Top Tripod Camera Desk Mount is basically a skyscraper for your camera, clamped right onto your desk. I needed an overhead rig for unboxings and top-down shots, and this beast delivered exactly what I hoped. The construction feels solid enough to survive a mild earthquake, with sturdy metal tubing and robust clamps that grip your desk tighter than a toddler clings to a juice box. Adjusting height and angle is straightforward, and there’s no annoying wobble even with a mirrorless camera up top. At 36 inches of vertical reach, you can get that perfect bird’s-eye view without turning your workspace into a spaghetti mess of light stands and tripods. Plus, the included extension arm means you can position your camera exactly where you need it, leaving plenty of room for lighting or a second monitor. Pros: ✔️ Rock-solid build ✔️ Strong clamp with no desk damage ✔️ Great vertical range for overhead shots ✔️ Easy assembly and adjustments Cons: ➖ Slightly bulky if you’re in a tiny workspace Overall, if you want to level up your desk studio with stable, no-drama overhead shots, the TARION Desk Mount is the best metal giraffe money can buy. Highly recommended for any content creator.

Kinda clunky but metal and heavy duty
I wish the joint system was different on this. It's this weird disk and clamp system and it's just very clunky to adjust. It coulda been made to be way easier to adjust. It is sturdy, although it doesn't feel like it will be. I've used it for my phone and Sony ZV1. It's all metal, which is nice. Feels of decent quality. I think it's a little overpriced honestly. But it'll do for now. Could have been made to be easier to use - bottom line.

Easy to assemble and really sturdy. The joints lock in rock solid and it gives the impression of being able to handle much more weight than what I have connected to it.
