Great tuning forks at a great value. Would be nice if they came with a pouch or something to store them in but you can't beat the price. I love them and they work great.

These tuning forks are great for diagnostics! The aluminum material is lightweight and durable, and they produce clear, accurate vibrations. The three-piece set (C 128, C 256, C 512) is perfect for different tests. A reliable and high-quality addition to any medical kit!

The forks are not even close to being in tune. It's supposed to be 3 octaves of C, and the first thing I noticed is they do not sound like the same note at all. So I measured their frequencies, in addition to a small steel 440hz fork my fiance had, and another 128 Hz full-length (not weighted) 128hz C1 fork I bought off amazon at the same time. Fiance's 440 A - 440.2hz (+0.5% pretty much dead on) Tuning Fork, 128 Hz. C Below Middle C - 127.7hz (-1.8%, flat halfway to B) This product 128 C - 143.0hz (+11.7% !!!! past C#, closer to D) This product 256 C - 275.7hz (+7.7% very close to C#) This product 512 C - 492.0hz (-3.9% very close to B) Finish: The 440 A fork my fiance had is a nice (in comparison) smaller welded steel fork, says 'germany' on it. It has some chrome plating but is rusted on the tips -- probably from a final production step which had a worker fine tune it grinding bits off the end. No idea what it cost but the pitch is dead on to the A it advertises. This one was sold individually it is the same pitch as the lowest fork in this product but is a standard fork (rather than the weighted version sold here). It's more awkward to hold than the shorted weighted one. But it's got a nice finish that looks like it was either sandcasted, or made to look/feel like it was sandcasted. It's not "smooth" as in flat-surfaced, but it's soft and warm on the fingers. It does not say it's origin. The pitch, advertised as C, is very close to B. This product says 'pakistan'. It has a rough, machined finish, the edges have zero chamfer and some are sharp, especially where the weights attach. When I say "sharp", you are not going to cut yourself but the edges are irritating on the skin. It was machined hastily. The feel is cold and rough, and they are slightly sticky, I'm guessing from cutting fluid or some chemical they used and didn't wash off. The pitches are just way off and not in any consistent way, some two semitones too high, one a semitone low. Conclusion: They do vibrate, and maybe you don't care if the frequency is accurate, maybe you want to use them for diddling peoples chakras, maybe it's for vibration sense test, maybe you just want a desk toy. If this is true you might be ok with this, except the finish is so irritating to the skin. If that is Ok with you then, considering these are being sold for dirt cheap, 3 for $10, barely over the cost of the metal, maybe these are for you. Personally, I just cannot abide selling "tuning" forks that are completely out of tune. Their very name implies their suitability as benchmarks for tuning other things and these are zero use for that. I get that they are cheap but 1-2 full semitones away from advertised? Come on! If there is a big market for tuning forks from people who don't care about the accuracy of the tone, then ok but it should be labeled *Nominally* 512Hz, *Nominally* 256Hz, 128Hz-give-or-take-11.7%

Look good and work perfectly! One was missing in the initial shipment, but they replaced it immediately. Very pleased with the level of customer service.
