The product comes precut to an approximate size. Measure soles of shoes before ordering and get the product that will cover slightly more or less. It is easy to trim a little with ordinary scissors. It is a self-stick product. There is a paper that peels off to expose the adhesive. I applied to an older pair of shoes, the rubber soles have a shallow texture. I spent a little time with rough sandpaper to smooth out and clean the soles before sticking on. I have used these many times over the past month and a half and quite satisfied they will last very well and stay stuck down. Might not work as well for rough soles or hiking shoes. It should work very well for plain leather soles.

My husband and I have been swing dancers for 30 years and have tried a lot of dance shoe options. These are the best! You can turn any shoe into a dance shoe! The adhesive is really strong- I’ve been dancing for at least a year with my current suede and they still look great and show no signs of peeling off/etc. Highly recommend!

Used to replace worn sole on shoes to improve traction when dancing. Select a larger size and trim to fit your shoe width.

These are great. I am a dance instructor and put these on the bottom of regular athletic shoes and they are perfect. They will last at least 9-12 months before they need to be replaced. If the product description does not say industrial-strength glue like this one does, don't buy. I tried such a product recently and could only wear the shoes once. Stick with industrial-strength glue and buy these!

I have a pair of dedicated, actual, dancing shoes, but they do not have good arch support and they do not except athletic insoles. My feet have been hurting at dances, and I have really wanted to use my regular dress shoes which can accept a better insole, but my dress shoes have a rubber sole that grips the floor too much. I found this solution - recommended by another dancer -and it works really well. I traced the outline of my shoe sole, quickly and easily attached the suede, and it has proven to be durable and effective.

They work perfectly, just like real dance shoes! I can not wear any of those narrow, high heel, uncomfortable (for me) dance sandals - and jazz dance shoes or dance sneakers just don't look so pretty. I just couldn't find any dance shoes that worked for me. Now I am so happy to know that I can convert any shoes or sandals I like into dance shoes! The soles are easy to attach, you can adjust the shape by cutting them, and they really stay on, I have used them for a while now. The industrial glue smelled bad at first, but after a few days of leaving them outside the smell was totally gone. I love these soles and I will buy more of them.

Adhesive didn't last as stated

These work like a charm! I had recently bought a new pair of boots and they had anti-skid pads in the middle of the soles. I wanted these boots for dancing and you can't dance good when the bottoms don't slide. I love to line dance and I ordered these patches and placed over the soles and the anti-skid areas and they have stayed on and makes the boots slide really well!
