Power Pro Spectra Fiber Braided Fishing Line, Moss Green, 150YD/20LB

Bought this here simply because I couldn't find 20 lb locally. Shortage you know. My experience with 10 lb sold me on it. Fished a lot of rocks and fast water and had no obvious damage to my line on the contact end. Once I figured how much to put on a spinning reel spool I really liked it. Don't try to fill your spool, leave a good lip of the spool showing. My Pflueger President 40 with 150 yds of 20 lb leaves about 1/8 inch head room on the spool. This seems perfect. The braid comes off the spool too fast if you fill it too full and you will have a big problem with wind knots. Not fun, I did it at first and learned. I use very little mono now. As I need to replace I will be using Power Pro braid. Get a good cutter to make your life easier. I am using Gerber Neat Freaks and cant be happier.

This has revolutionized my fishing. By connecting the fishhook to my fishing pole with this string, I have improved my luck immeasurably. Before this string, I was just throwing hooks out into the water and standing there with my fishing pole, and never catching anything. I would see Fish swim right up and pick up the hook with the worm on it and swim away. And I thought to myself, “I need something to attach those hooks to this fishing pole and “enter: this string. Now when a fish picks up the hook with the bait on it, I can pull it to shore with my fishing pole. Seriously, this stuff is limber, and superstrong, I use it for fishing, it has minimal memory, I have left It on deep-sea fishing rigs without it going brittle, and it holds knots like crazy. Highly recommend.

There are not many better for dark lakes up in northern Canada. I will always go back to this line.
