Good Choice.
Good fit for a 43" chest (XL), enough room for thin layers & a thick jumper. The lining is removable so a good garment for summer wear as well. Plenty of decent sized pockets as well. I've also ordered the trousers to match.

Comfortable and well made
Very comfortable. I have the jacket with the matching trousers and to be honest, at first I was worried about looking like a rider of a certain German manufactured motorcycle. Now that I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks in the lovely North-West Autumn, I couldn't care less! I have had Texpeed items before and once again, they do not disappoint. They are very warm with the liners in, if anything, a bit too warm for anything other than winter or very cold weather. With the liners removed, they have been just right in temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees. They are definitely waterproof as I arrived at work last week after a journey down the M6 in horrible rain but yet I was bone dry underneath. My only criticism would be that although the hi--vis on the front of the jacket is good and the reflective strips are good for night-time, there are no hi-vis panels on the back which would help a great deal. I suppose if you were that worried you could pop a vest over the top. I would happily recommend these items.

Quality garment but size guide needs to be reviewed.
I bought one of these jackets because of the good reviews. It looks and feels like a solid, quality garment BUT... I measured my chest as 42" with extra layers for winter. The guide says this should be a size L. I wanted to leave a little extra room so I ordered XL, but even this is too small, especially under the arms where it is too tight for me. The pockets and liner have a solid thick feel to them and unlike many more expensive jackets the outside pockets are all solid cordura, inside and out. Personally I find that there is too much velcro on this jacket. In my experience velcro accumulates fluff and becomes less effective quite quickly, but I guess it depends how you use it. Be aware that this does not come from Amazon directly, so if you have to return it (because you find it too small for example) it is likely to cost you £6-£10 in postage. So to resume, excellent quality especially at this low price as long as you don't mind velcro, order 2 sizes bigger at least and remember return postage is not free :-)

Reasonable bike jacket
Not bad overall quality, fits well and feels comfortable, it has decent sized side pockets, the vents are fiddly so not easy in hot weather, the jacket has inside pockets but tricky to access and not quite big enough to store a phone. Provides excellent protection from wind and cold weather so its ideal for colder riding conditions. Despite it's short comings, it's better than some other bike jackets at this price.

Lovely Jacket and Trousers combo
Purchased the jacket and matching trouser, Im a 41 inch chest , 5ft 9in and a 35 inch waist so ordered the jacket in 2XL and the trousers in XL. Fit like a dream, not to baggy or tight. Quality looks amazing with enough pockets for all needs. Will be trying the clothes out shortly. All in all a happy shopper

Good jacket at an unbelievable price
I was looking at jackets 5 times the price of this one, that looked similar, possibly are better somehow, but this one does it for me. Bought the size I normally would and it fits great, not too snug but tight enough. The removable thermal lining has been a godsend given the weather we have been having recently and the jacket on the whole has kept me cool enough. I don't normally bother writing reviews but given how chuffed I am with this jacket at the price I felt I had to share. I don't ride in the rain so have no idea how waterproof it may or may not be.. I should add that I followed the measurement guide, measured myself properly and even though I would normally go large this time I didn't, I measured medium, I bought a medium, and fit is really.. I am 6' with a 34" waist..40" chest..

Great if you're on a budget
I was looking forward to getting this jacket as the spec was fantastic and the price was unbelievable (I bought the jacket and trousers as a set at a price almost a quarter of what I pay for just a jacket! Sadly, I could not justify keeping it and so have now returned the suit for a full refund. I served in the army and then became a business analytics specialist. The jobs are not directly related but I know the importance of good quality kit to do a specific job and how to quantify value. I love riding my BMW R1200GS, analytics, and riding my R1200GS...did I say that one already? Summary ----------- A great, cheap, adventure jacket for an intro into adventure bike riding but NOT, I repeat, NOT for all-round riding at motorway speeds on open roads. This jacket and matching trousers are clearly ‘styled’ on the Alpinestars Halo suit, which I also own and which costs £800 with back protector. Due to the build quality and materials used in this Texpeed jacket, I have returned it for a full refund. Kit --- On arrival, I inspected first for size and then I stripped down the jacket to inspect the armour, removable lining, material, and build quality. Size ----- I'm 90kg, 6 foot tall and have a 32 inch inside leg. I bought the L-Large size jacket and it fitted perfectly. I have room to move but it is snug enough to not move when riding. There is room to wear regular clothing underneath too which is good as the lining is not thick enough for late autumn to winter. The jacket does connect to the trousers by way of a short zip. Armour --------- The armour from Texpeed is ok, I've seen far worse. It is so thin though, just shoving an elbow or arm against a tree tells you that you are going to hurt if you come off. It might be upto CE grade 1 but that's a low bar and they do not appear to have tried to exceed it - but then the jacket comes in at a budget price and I think that this is absolutely acceptable, if you know what you want this jacket for and don't abuse it. I was worried about the back protection though as it is cheap and covered a small area. You may think that you can switch out the armour for CE2 quality replacement stuff. Well, you might but you need small replacements for the arms, back protector and shoulders. The arm packets accommodate a 205mm long pad. I do not have any arm pads shorter than 285mm. The shoulder pads are also very short and the pocket will not fit any of my current pads. I have concluded that the cost of replacement CE2 armour would be that of a higher quality jacket making the exercise pointless as I bought this suit out of curiosity and for occasional use only. The back protector is the same, in that I cannot find a small protector to go into the smaller pocket. You should also note that the mesh holding the armour is thin, NOT COTTON, and easy to tear. I use D30, and Viscotec before that, in everything. I hate cheap armour because it will do a job just not the job of preventing the shock passing through your body which results in indirect damage, in my opinion. I'm not talking full on crash either. I'm talking about adventure riding spills; tree whip, 20-30mph slides and stump-offs (tree stump > wheel > You're off. Such impacts are what armour is for and even cheap armour should protect you from trauma like this. Removable lining. --------------------- The removable lining is quilted and VERY lightweight. It will keep you warmer than not having it BUT it is so thin. The jacket uses a mesh to hold the armour in place and for comfort when not using the liner. If this is your daily commute suit, you will need to replace it (the whole garment) in about a year or two. Material ---------- The outer material is great. Very good Cordura is is rugged enough; Ride to Snowden, WALK to the top of Snowden and back, Ride home - full day trip for me. Fan-bloody-tastic. I opted for the light coloured material. This works well but it will need washing more frequently than the black option. The inner mesh liner is used for comfort when not using the removable liner but it also holds the armour in place. This mesh is not durable and is made of nylon, not cotton, so you must take care when removing and replacing the armour when washing as it will be easy to rip it. It just is not durable and will not last long with regular use in my opinion. The velcro adjustments are really good BUT...I think the velcro is not heavy duty and will fray and deteriorate very quickly; effectively, it will rip itself apart as cheap, lightweight, velcro does. There are no press studs at all on this jacket so the front, pockets and vents all require fully functioning Velcro and I think this is where the jacket will fail first. The ventilation is awesome. two massive meshed panels at the front and two exhausts at the back. Disappointingly, there are no arm vents. Each front panel rolls down into a 'secret' pocket which uses velcro to keep stashed. The only issue with this is that, if you're travelling to your adventure destination with them stashed and it suddenly rains (UK), you cannot close the vents without stopping to unwrap them. You can simply unzip each side of each of the two vents and get ventilation. I'm just pointing out that you need to plan ahead. The ventilation system is the reason I bought this suit; I wanted a lightweight, light duty, occasional, suit to wear several times a year, not a suit for daily use. Build quality -------------------------- There is double stitching everywhere that it was considered required. Double stitching is not throughout. This jacket is not going to last long, in my opinion, in daily use as the stitching will give and that will be that. Pulling a suit on and off regularly, getting on and off the bike, walking and riding are activities that all exert stress on stitching. There is a reason why 'professional' gear costs what it does. A lot of my expensive, high quality, textile gear is over 10 years old and only now do I need to replace some of it due to wear and tear; my Leather gear is still going strong. Outro ------- I hope that this helps someone make an informed choice. I thought I could like this jacket as a cheap, lightweight and light duty riding suit for occasional use. Instead, I cannot bear the thought of having to wrestle with it to remove the armour when washing is required, the issues with the material choice and the low build quality.

Absolutely perfect!
Absolutely perfect! For the price this is a fantastic quality jacket at a fraction of the cost of a BMW styled one. Very happy!
