These would also be nice when using a public grill.

I've used this BBQ liner for years and have always bought it at the club store but in the past months, this item was taken off the shelf. Amazon had it and I quickly ordered it. It makes cooking outdoors a breeze. I can cook, eat, and visit with family and friends without having to do cleanup duty. Once you try this, you probably won't want to use anything else.

I grill at least once a week if not more and I keep my grill very clean, but I still use this liner during each cook for extra piece of mind. Keep in mind that it works great up to 500degrees on the grill, but if you plan to sear your meat with temps above 600-700degrees, this liner will burn and melt under your meat, as juice and fat drip down creating high heat flames. I don't use the liner when I know I am searing meet that will reach this high temp, because it could be unsafe if it integrates into the meat. I've been buying from the same seller for the past several years only use this liner in most of my grilling. Love the product.

Got this from HomeDepot years ago until they stopped selling them. It seems expensive to purchase but makes cleaning your grates so much easier. If your enjoy scrubbing and scraping by all means do so and save your money. I have better things to do.
