This is a nicely sturdy zapper. I love that it's rechargeable & lasts a good while between charges. It is effective both as a hand held zapper & a static unit with UV light to attract insects. It should be noted though that, being portable & rechargeable means that the UV light is not especially strong, so don't expect it to attract insects in broad daylight - if you want that you would be better getting a mains powered, wall mounted, catering style unit (at a higher cost). For the price, this is an excellent unit & does everything it claims!

We have gone through many bats over the years, some good some (most) not very good. This bat is not good, it is amazing. Without doubt the most effective killer I have ever used. Believe me if this ever breaks there will be another purchased to replace it. I love the fact that you can recharge it. Some comments complain that the blue light does not attract flies and to be fair the manufacturer make this clear and explain that it is to let you know what mode the bat is in. Lots of you out there must have owned a bat that when you swipe a fly you hear a crack but it then flies off. They pretty much don't with this one, they are either spinning around on the floor in distress or stuck in the mesh getting fried. My only dislike with this unit is that the handle is mounted onto the face of the bat which makes it feel weird. I also don't get the need to fold the handle. Either way, great product.

A few months ago, I tried two highly rated electric fly zappers from different brands. Neither attracted houseflies, so I returned them for refunds. They claim to use UV technology, but I suspect they’re better for attracting mosquitoes. Living in the UK, my main issue is houseflies. As a last resort, I decided to try this one. My first impression of the product was its good build quality. It feels robust, nicely designed and well-finished. When it arrived, there was a housefly in my home, so I gave it a try. The sliding switch on the side of the handle has three positions: - Off (lower), - Ready (middle position, green light comes on, then activated by the spring-loaded round button which then brings on the red light while keeping it pressed) - Permanently on (higher position, brings on a blue-lit web design). You can use it as a swatter or fold the handle 90° to stand it upright on a flat surface. I opted to use it as a swatter and with satisfaction caught the housefly surprisingly quickly. I was pleased with it’s effectiveness, compared to my previous fly killers. Regarding noise levels, when a fly touches the electric mesh, it makes a loud cracking sound for an instant, which can be startling the first time. However, it remains silent when switched on without any action. Since then, I’ve caught several flies with it. While it doesn’t always kill on the first touch—sometimes requiring a second attempt—usually the first strike is enough. I know that catching flies isn’t easy because they move so fast, but this device is much better than my previous stationary types. With this at least I can actively chase the flies instead of just waiting for them to come to a device that never attracted them anyway. Pros: • Good build quality and design. • Effectiveness and ease of use to do its job. • Quite fast charging and good battery life. Cons: • Not cheap. • Cracking sound on fly contact. • Blue light does not, and is not claimed to attract flies. • Can result in a mild shock if the mesh is touched (this happened to me). Overall, I think this offers reasonable value for money and I’m definitely glad I bought it. I’m giving it four stars rather than five only because, while it’s better than my previous purchases, this still requires effort, and doesn’t attract flies to it. That said, for what it is, I’m happy to recommend it. I hope this review was helpful

Saved me so many times whilst on hols in tropics. I left it on at night and you'd hear it zapping away and wake up to the remnants of the wars with mosquitoes. Its quite loud but a small price to pay when it kills the bugs so well.

Best fly swatter I’ve ever had! Living in the country, this has been one of the best purchases this summer! Kills flies and wasps quickly! Light to hold and easy to use! Amazing battery life too! And safe for kids to use too as they aren’t able to zap themselves on it ( as tested and demonstrated by my husband 🤣)! I think I should have shares in this product by now as I have been asked about it by so many people and have sent the link for this product to so many friends and family members! This product has saved my sanity this summer with the sheer number of wasps that have been in and around our home!

Have had two other battery powered fly zappers previously but they were both flimsy affairs and though they did deliver an audible shock to flies, the wee beasties would at times get up ready for another bout. The two cheap flimsy ones didn't wear well. One came apart in mid-air, the other shattered when I hit furniture on a follow-through swing. Having had a sudden influx of flies I became fed up cleaning newspaper ink and fly squish smears from the walls so sent for this gadget. It only arrived today but boy, it's the most satisfying £15 I've spent in a long time. Getting a clean strike isn't always so easy but when this bat connects it does so with sudden deadly effect. There's a vivid flash and a loud explosive crack and the fly's a goner. The hunt becomes quite addictive and I must admit to being a bit worried at the ease with which I've slipped into the role of obsessive death-dealer. With a good supply of flies, a new popular party game is assured. Go ahead fly punk, make my day........

This is very good,charge it up & leave in corner & hear the bugs & flies get zapped.really works. Not noisy only when you hear the crackle.you can also swipe bugs as it's a bat like device so if something is annoying then just swipe it. Would recommend

This year for some reason UK is overwhelmed with flies. They're driving us crazy, so I decided to fight back. I am using: sticky tapes - they work very well, but you have to find a good place for them and they take their time. Above kitchen sink works best for me. Fluorescent UV light with zapper (commercial size) - works slow and its OK. "Worlds best fly trap" from Amazon - placed outside, caught thousands of flies in the last month. But its for outside use only. (It really stinks!) I don't use fly spray, as the way I see it if it kills flies, it's probably not very healthy for me or my family. I've ordered Bug-a-salt gun, the original. It's coming tomorrow, so I can't comment on this. This zapper I'm writing a review for, arrived few hours ago and it really impressed me. I've had similar ones before, but they were very meh. Things are getting a bit desperate with the amount of flies we're getting so I thought I'll try one that's a bit more expensive and I have to say, I'm not disappointed. 9 flies killed in just over five minutes. Works very well. A tip to all fly hunters, who may end up whacking this thing on everything else apart from flies. You need to aim with it just above where the fly is. Aim for where the fly will be the moment you swing this zapper. Good luck. Highly recommended!

Se recibio el pedido en perfectas condiciones. Funciona muy bien. Manualmente estoy eliminando mosquitos y moscas mejor que nunca. De manera estática todavía no he visto su efectividad a pesar de haberlo dejado varias veces encendido en una zona de abundancia de insectos, quizás sea por no tener una luz uv más fuerte que los atraiga. De todos modos esta siendo muy efectivo al conseguir reducir la poblacion de estos desagradables insectos. Producto muy recomendable. Muchas gracias.

C'est vraiement la raquette à avoir chez soir, j'ai déjà convaincu 2 autres acheteurs ! Le mode posé sur untable est super pratique et efficace. Seul bébom quand les moustiques se prennent dans la raquette, le bruit est très sec et fort, ne soyez pas cardiaque ! A éviter la nuit du coup... Très efficace en mode raquette chasse aux moucherons ou aux mouches ou aux moustiques.
