Practical and easy to implement
I loved this book! It helped me establish really good habits for writing and meeting my writing goals. I keep it near all my writing materials to use as a reference.

A great book to guide in writing
I have this author's other book (The Artist's Way) and have found it meaningful and helpful so I decided to buy this one and see how it could help me in my writing journey. I'm happy that I did because it helped me not be so hard on myself. It's made me relax a little more in writing my second novel. There is still a lot to do but it's a start. I'd definitely recommend to all writers of all genres. This book will guide through those times when you feel hesitant or unsure. Highly recommend.

Positive reviee
The book was great, for myself the only place where I had a problem was the continued focus on Morning Page's and yet I know for perhaps a new reader they Need to be stressed. I love anything that Julia Cameron has wrote. The Artist Way is where I can place my hands on it at any given moment with all of my beautiful highlights as I have read it so many times.I will be waiting for the next book

Encouragement and practical strategies for writing
I was feeling blocked. Writing is more of a hobby for me than a profession, but even my hobby had been stunted by overwhelm.I was recommended Write For Life by a fellow writer working on a novel. With the combination of returning to the basics of The Artist's Way along with new assignments to spur me along, I've completed three essays (after a complete dry spell) and have new ways to approach the completion of work.

A Great Primer to Jump Start Your day
I’ve only read the sample of this book and I am hooked. It is a good primer to help you tap or re-tap into your creativity. Carve out your time - focus and then follow through. Looking forward to reading the rest of this book. Julia’s books help unlock that block.

You can never go wrong
Julia encourages you to expand your gift if writing by writing three pages first every morning. Try her writing methods and encouragement they do make a difference in your writing by expanding your mind. After all that is where most writing begins-in our minds, in our hearts, and in our souls.

Self-Improvement as Writing Advice
Write for Life: Creative Tools for Every Writer by Julia Cameron works off the same principles as The Artist's Way. I opted not to do the exercises as prescribed because I do my own version of self-care to handle my writing life. I think this is the important thing to take away from this book. YOU have to find your own path. This was Cameron's path and she finds it satisfying. Yours might look very different. When I tried Morning Pages years ago when I read The Artist's Way, I found they stifled my creativity. I have a few problems with this book. The first is there is an underlying message throughout that if you don't do it Cameron's way, you can't be successful. Another is the underlying implication that everyone who has ever tried her method is successful. There's also her insistence that all successful creativity should be credited to a higher power and all failure is the fault of the artist. While Write For Life overall didn't work for me, I did find some interesting and inspiring nuggets and could see how it might work for other people.
