Best would be left side of tv other side would intrude with disk drive

can this be used in drywall without drywall anchors?

I would NOT recommend it. The weight of the mount and the weight of the ps4 will pull it out of the wall. You will either want to screw this into something wood, a stud, or make sure you use the drywall anchors.
