Nishiki Premium Sushi Rice, 10lbs

This is very good rice. tastes good, and you can use it to make California rolls. It's also economically priced, that is, not too expensive. It's an excellent product.

I love Nishiki rice, as the brand is good quality and this is the only type of rice that I actually like eating. I love just washing it, throwing it in the rice cooker, and letting it do it's thing, and it comes out fluffy and sticky every time! Great in rice balls, with curry, with stir-fry, even just plain with a little rice seasoning or a side of kimchi. And the price online is so much better than it is in my local grocery stores!

I absolutely love this Nishiki Premium Sushi Rice! The 10lb bag is great value and lasts a while. The grains are consistently short and plump, cooking up perfectly sticky and fluffy every single time. It has a lovely, slightly sweet flavor and a pleasant chewy texture that works wonderfully for sushi, onigiri, or even just as a side for stir-fries. It rinses clean and absorbs water well. If you want authentic, high-quality results at home, this is the rice to buy.

We kept buying this rice for a year. We love how soft and sweet it is and the quality is very stable. And you can use it to make sweet rice wine.

This rice is good quality and cooks up really well in my rice cooker. Comes out nice and fluffy every time. Decent price for the 10lb bag too.

I have purchased this rice several times. I always go back to it. It's also the best price I can find. Locally this very bag is literally twice the price in the store. I admit to being very picky about white rice and this is my favorite. It is a medium grain, so it's sticky when it cooks up. I never measure it. PRO COOKING TIP: a Japanese friend taught me, after washing - which is "rinsing" your rice -pour into the rice cooker pan, then add water while having two fingers pointing down into the pan. When the water reaches your second knuckle - stop adding water. It will be perfect every time no matter what kind of rice you are cooking. Trust the process, it really works! This rice is delightful and everything you hope a sticky white rice will be. I keep my rice in the freezer - it's fine to use right out of the freezer and keeps it fresh longer. Why only 4 stars? Because the bag I received expires in just a few months. I would prefer at least one 1 year. That being said, for the price savings, I will continue to purchase this way. I just hope they will get better at rotating out older products. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Of course Amazon sent it right away. I wish the pearl rice was cheaper or the red rice etc. I liked this rice. I’ve bought rice from the store, Amazon and the members clubs stores like Sam’s. It seems like finding food that isn’t fake or natural is not a given anymore. I bought a 20lb bag of the Jasmine and it was plastic. It gave me stomach aches and I couldn’t digest it very well and I felt unnourished even tho my stomach was full. I won’t be buying the popular types again. This rice was very good. It was soft and broke up when chewed. I was very pleased. No worries to whether it will be rice and good quality.

I just love love love this rice! It makes the best Tajik/Uzbek pilaf. Highly recommend it. I tried many other varieties of rice purchased in Coscto, supermarkets Tashkent and Netcost in Brooklyn, but they were all a waste of money. This was the tastiest, sweetest rice best for pilaf. Now I keep buying it myself and recommend to all other people around me.
