Will it stand up to a road trip with multiple stops being collapsed and opened multiple times?

This did not stand up to a 4 day, 3 night quiet road trip with a 14 yr old (sedate) cat. It's flimsy and cheaply made, period. The only good part is the pearl litter, which was awesome.

What are the inside dimensions? Wondering if I can insert a disposable pan.

Great questions, KER! The PetSafe Disposable Cat Litter Box measures 16"L x 12"W x 14.375"H when fully assembled. The inside of the box is approximately 15" x 12".

Would this fit on the floor behind the driver seat ?

Thanks for your question, Sarah! The dimensions of the box, when it is fully set up and ready to use, are approximately 16" L x 12" W x 14 3/8" H.

Can we cut the entrance hole bigger - more of a rectangle or would that structurally ruin it? The circle entrance may not work with my cat.

It's a pretty sturdy box; I was actually surprised at how well-build and structurally sound it is and have used and reused it several times. I don't see why you couldn't cut a rectangle in the entrance hole!
