Avantree Roadtrip - Car Bluetooth Speaker & Wireless FM Transmitter Kit

- Tested with iPhone 14 Pro - Pairs easily with phone, haven't tried its 2-phone capability. Very easy to set up an use. - Speakerphone totally rejects background sound even with car windows open and produces no voice dropouts even under severe background conditions. The parties I talk to are very thankful for this; they have long been annoyed by the background sound and dropouts with several other speakerphones I have used including the phone's built-in speakerphone and my Bluetooth 2-way speakerphone hearing aids. Part of the key to this good performance is probably the microphone being so near my mouth, since the unit is mounted on the car visor. - The built-in speaker is as good as an inexpensive small speaker is expected to be; being very near the driver's ears helps it to work without having to be turned up to distortion level. - The FM radio link is as good as FM radio links can be, i.e. there is some hiss and crackle but on the whole, with my fairly good quality car speakers, the speakerphone and music streaming sound over them is much better than the Roadtrip built-in speaker. - The button is very convenient for answering, rejecting, and ending calls and redialing, and for initiating Siri commands. But with the microphone so near my face I don't have to speak Siri very loud anyway, unless I have the speaker or car radio speakers playing loudly. - This is the only visor-mounted product I have found that both streams audio via Bluetooth and acts as a speakerphone, and it works very well. - Allows different phone apps to selectively use it, e.g. I can stream music over my hearing aids and use Roadtrip as my speakerphone. So do I have any complaints? Only some slight ones: - The unit is a little heavy, you might need to tighten the hinge on our visor to keep the visor from sagging, or add velcro to hold the visor up. - I am tall and was annoyed by the unit being mounted on the visor, particularly when getting in the car while wearing a hat. So I used velcro to mount it on the ceiling above the rear-view mirror. I have not tested its microphone pickup and background canceling performance in this configuration yet.

I bought one and used it for a short time and it developed an issue with the bluetooth where it would whine over the radio, so I contacted Avantree and they sent me a new one free of charge. No issues with this one at all. Provides clear audio (as clear as FM can be), turns on when I need it to, and sometimes when I don't want it to (make sure it won't detect movement outside of the car), and even tells you when the battery is low. It also has a changeable battery in case the battery completely depletes. It is rechargeable, but it's nice to not have to create ewaste.

Was easy to pair and handle. Sound (from the speakers) - 8/10 - I actually had to lower the volume because it was too loud. It is good enough for a call. Sound (from the microphone - per to the other side of the call) - 7/10 - depending on the location of the BT speaker. In the regular position (sun visor was both opened and closed) - I was sounded like I was "far" from the microphone, but my voice was recognizable. In the position of the sun visor blocking the side window - the other side of the call said that I was sounded clearer. I did not tested the Auto turning off and on yet - will know tomorrow when I test it in the morning. Overall - as a car speaker in that price - It's an awesome product. Update: the Auto Turning On feature works just fine. Update #2 (May 21st, 2025): Speaker works well and as far as i know, people can hear me well enough from their end. I found that the best position for the device to be (when you are not placing next to the window) is a small tilt of the visor towards you and aim the mic to you.

Bought this for an older car instead of upgrading the car stereo. It works much better than I had anticipated. Calls and music come through much clearer than expected. The price was much lower than many comparable models. The fact that the battery is rechargeable AND replaceable is incredible. It comes with the charging cable which is getting less common these days. It's one of the easiest installs imaginable. Just push it on the visor and done.

This product picks up more road noise than I was expecting for people on the other end of phone call. I don't recommend it unless this is the best you can afford. Ease of use, connectivity and build quality were all fine. The sound for the person using it is fine. Others just won't want to stay on the call very long. I missed the return window or I would send it back for something better.

Worked great for around 6 months. Started having issues with microphone while on calls but everything else was superb. Contacted them directly and they honored the warranty right away and sent it quickly. Rosally was who I delt with and they handled everything quickly and effortlessly. Thank very much mam! Excellent company and next day response at the latest. Up and running again!

Neat unit that seems to function well EXCEPT the power cord is too short. The cord is taunt from the unit mounted on the visor to the cigarette lighter power adapter. There is not enough slack to rotate the visor to the side let alone conceal it under the moulding. After a couple days use, I revised the review and lowered it to a 2-star rating. Not only was the cord provided too short, but this design does not lend itself to being installed on the visor even with a longer cord. If you lower or swing the visor away, the microphone is now facing the windshield or window and cannot properly pick up your voice. This thing is horribly unreliable as far as automatically pairing with my iPhone. Half the time it pairs the other half of the time it does not. When it does not automatically, I have to go through the fiddling process of rebooting devices and repairing. Naturally, this is annoying when I just want to get in my car and go. The transmitted volume to the FM radio is low volume. To hear the call or streaming music, the car radio must be cranked to its loudest. Switching to a local broadcast without turning the radio on is deafening. The thing is better than nothing, but not much better. Revised after three months: the transmitter to send the audio to the truck’s radio failed. Well, at this point it is off to the landfill.

I have tried numerous Bluetooth speakers in the car I can never hear them. This one has great sound I can put it to my visor it stays charged for a very long time and it's out of the way. That's my biggest thing is the speakers always fall on the floor this one has a place to go

Recently purchased my speaker, and I am very happy how easy it was to install and upload to my phone. Much easier to hear the music and phone calls. Simple yet effective 👌 ✨️

Arrived on time and well packaged, thanks Amazon. Purchased for use in my older 2012 Grand Caravan that has no Bluetooth connection and didn't want cables all over the place plugged into the auxiliary port, also wanted to be able to listen to the radio and still talk on the phone. This device fits the bill perfectly because of the built-in dual speakers. It was very easy to install after the initial charge and connected seamlessly with Google assistant. I can now just push the volume button to activate the assistant and say what I would like to do like phone a person, text a person, read text messages, listen to the news and find a driving route for any destination, without having to touch the phone. I had to set my Pixel 8 to keep unlocked while connected to the Avantree Roadtrip (extended unlock in settings) and give the Roadtrip access to Google Assistant, but once I did that it works flawlessly. The battery life is also very impressive too, I have had a few weeks and it's still showing fully charged. This is a great way to stay legal and still use your phone in Canada. I also like the automatic power of when I leave the vehicle and power on when I get back in. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable hands free set up in older (non Bluetooth vehicles. Five thumbs up from me 👍👍👍👍👍

Usa su propia pila (la puedes cambiar por una nueva tu mismo) y lo mejor es que no se compara con los adaptadores que se conectan al toma corriente, que se suele desconectar en medio de la canción

Kit vivavoce superiore alle aspettative. Buona qualità audio grazie alle casse stereo ottime come vivavoce, sufficienti per ascoltare musica, buon microfono, semplice da usare, buona durata della batteria al litio tipo BL-5C (come il Nokia 3310) e soprattutto è possibile collegarlo allo stereo dell'auto tramite il modulatore FM e permette la connessione di due telefoni contemporaneamente. Il tasto a sinistra ricollega il telefono e durante la chiamata silenzia il microfono, mentre una pressione lunga connette un nuovo dispositivo. A destra c'è un tasto ghiera. Su Android una pressione singola ferma e riprende la riproduzione della musica (il lettore musicale o le App come YouTube vanno avviate manualmente), una pressione lunga avvia l'assistente vocale google e una doppia pressione richiama l'ultimo numero. Durante una chiamata in entrata accetta o rifiuta la chiamata. La ghiera serve a regolare il volume delle casse indipendente da quello del telefono; al contrario quando è attivo il modulatore FM cambia in maniera rapida la frequenza di trasmissione da 88.1 a 107.9, visibile nel display per qualche secondo. Quando non è connesso ad alcun telefono va in standby e si riaccende tramite sensori di movimento. In caso di inutilizzo è possibile spegnerlo dal selettore laterale. I messaggi vocali in inglese di accensione, spegnimento, connessione e disconnessione non sono fastidiosi o riprodotti a volume troppo alto. La clip di fissaggio all'aletta parasole è fissa, ma è possibile rimuoverla con una leggera pressione, cosa che ho fatto per posizionarlo col biadesivo tra cruscotto e console centrale. Unico appunto: mancano i tasti per selezionare le canzoni durante la riproduzione musicale.
