**Q: What would I use for the front crankset / cassette?  There are 2 gears in front.  Trying to move from down tube to drop bars.**
A: Won't work.  You'll need bar end shifters or thr combined brake and shifter combo (aka "brifters"). These thumbies are only for flat or riser handlebars

A: It works very well for shifting through the gears on my bike. I only have 8 gears on the back, and it is the best rear shifters I have ever used.
