The lids are loose, but snug. Will still keep veggies or whatever fresh and contained. The glass cups look really good and wont contaminate food like plastic dishes do. Very easy to clean too, cuz there are no ridges on them. I like them so much, am going to order more!

I have looked for this side dish since I have found some recipes for one person and they call for this size dish. I washed them and they dried almost instantly....onward and upward to the recipes!!
