DEWALT DPG54-1C Safety Glasses, ANSI Z87.1+ Impact Rated, Clear Lens

This review is for the clear safety glasses.... I had just started a new job as an equipment operator in a distribution center. Three days after I started, I had an issue with a lower eyelid due to an ingrown eyelash. It was uncomfortable, looked bad and was irritated even more by the environment and my duties operating reach trucks and order pickers. So I decided to pick up some safety glasses to protect my eye from the dust and breeze to see if it helped. The best price I could get on similar style safety glasses that were in stock locally was around $10. So, I ordered these in and dealt with my eye until the glasses arrived. Since the glasses arrived.... No regrets at all. The price was right and the glasses are so light and comfortable that I forget that I have that I have them on most times. They have not fogged up on me and seem to have just enough ventilation to prevent them from doing so. but not so much that the ventilation irritated my eyelid as it healed. I have no idea as to scratch resistance as I keep them protected inside my cotton warehouse gloves when I'm not wearing them. I'm also not in an environment where there is flying debris that may scratch them as in metal working, wood working etc. I was going to quit using them at work once my eyelid healed. But, they are so comfortable, I have kept using them daily as my eyes feel better at the end of my shift when I wear them vs. when I don't. The only issue I have had with the glasses, is that I get some glare when I need to pull pallets from racks at high heights with a reach truck. If that happens, I just remove them while I line up my forks and pull the skid from the rack. For the price, if you are looking for clear safety glasses, you may want to give these a shot for whatever you do. They have worked great for me, and I'll be buying another pair to use around the home, in the garage and in the yard.

To me, this is about the best bang for your buck. When it comes to safety glasses, they're comfortable. The lens is easy. It's see-through. It cleans up well and they are very durable for the price. I have no issues with these safety glasses at all. They are a no-brainer buy in my opinion.

I’ve moved into a new place and needed safety glasses STAT. I ordered these because of their smaller size. I have to say, they’re everything I wanted - lightweight, completely covered my eyes and protected the sides as well. That yellow makes them easy to find, too, because I do set things down and then can’t find them. However, I neglected to notice that they can’t be worn over glasses. I’m of a certain age and, although I have contacts, I don’t wear them when I’m working around the house and doing DIY stuff. A sad fail for me, but they are nice. If you don’t need to wear glasses, these are a good choice.

These are exactly as described, better may be. I bought two for my husband and for working in the yard and our little renovation projects inside the house. The glasses are perfect for this. the first time I wore them I forgot I had them on because they Are clear and so very light. Size wise it fit both of us fine and my husband head is much larger than mine. Lol. My husband also build and flies drones and these are great to protect eyes from the fast rotating blades. We have also been wearing these to cover eyes during Covid because they are snug. Cannot be worn over glasses if you have a prescription. Overall, not bad at all for the price.

EDIT!! I was recently involved in a laboratory accident where a waste container of concentrated acid exploded in my face. I was wearing these goggles and my eyes and vision were unharmed. The right side of my face is now burned. I even managed to make my way to the ER. These goggle saved my vision. Always wear safety goggles. I had to throw away that pair, but I will be purchasing 2 new ones right now! -------- I use these glasses habitually in my college chemistry labs. For years I have used those awful, steamy, cheap plastic, bulky goggles they sell in the school store. These glasses pass the requirement for safety glasses to have "side-splash" protection, so these can be used for most laboratory applications. The lenses are very clear! I keep them in my backpack with no case and they hold up well with minimal scratches. I've attached a "granny chain" thing to the ends of the glasses so I can hang them around my neck when not needed. I know dewalt is a power tool company, but other common laboratory glasses look exactly the same as these ones. These glasses have awesome yellow tips, so I always know which are mine! 5 stars for ease of use, safety, price and it looks pretty!

The Dewalt DPG54-1D Protector Clear High-Performance Lightweight Protective Safety Glasses are everything the company says they are. So lightweight, I forget I have them on. They wrap around the side of my face to protect me from side splashes. After eye surgery, I no longer wear glasses (except to read or sew). I had no idea how much my old glasses were protecting my eyes. After splashing bleach on my face while cleaning. I quickly realized I needed something to protect my eyes. These are my go-to protectors. Get several pairs. Your eyes will love you.

I've been buying these for years now. They are comfortable and not irritating to wear for hours at a time. I'm a landscaper and have now trained myself to ALWAYS wear these. I forgot to do that a few weeks ago and got poked right in the eye by a thorn branch. (Idiot). I was looking through one eye for several days afterward. Anyway, these glasses will scratch, if you aren't careful with them. Don't keep them in your tool box unprotected or in your pocket with car keys in it. Use your cotton undershirt to wipe them off. Crystal clear if you keep them clean. Love these.
