CHI Keratin Reconstructing Conditioner, 2 Fl Oz

I love this shampoo and conditioner. It smells so good. I do wish the conditioner was sulfate free but I still love it. The shampoo makes a good lather and cleans all residue off of my hair.

This works well in my thick, course, and full hair. It smooths and I also use the leave in conditioner.

So here's the thing...I took away one star because they sent me an open product the first time. I was able to get a replacement which is the one I photographed being completely sealed. Is it a Deep Conditioner? The conditioner doesn't state that it's a deep conditioner, but it's worded like a regular conditioner. However, it behaves like a deep conditioner. To make things even more confusing, the directions read like those for a deep conditioner 😆. As someone with type 3C/4A hair, I like to read the directions on my conditioners because I just don't trust them😩. If you have curly hair/kinky hair, you already know no one uses a dime/quarter-sized amount of hair product 🫠. Anyway, here's how to get rid of that heavy feeling that I'm seeing from some of the commenters on this product; use this conditioner only as a deep conditioner. Otherwise, your hair will feel heavy unless you have hair that can handle the weight of thicker conditioner(s). If you have low porosity hair or hair that doesn’t respond well to keratin products. Examples include (getting straw-like hair after using it). That’s a sign your hair doesn’t like this product, and you should wash it out immediately and use a keratin remover. The same goes for using a high-protein product; you should also use a protein remover right away. I say this because they give similar results! And I've had protein built up before 😭. Not fun! The hair feels stiff and tangles easily. Kinda like how our skin reacts with a rash when it doesn't like something, our hair sends the same signal. Just different 😌. Don't ignore it—pay attention and move fast lol. Now that we've covered that, I want to share my thoughts on this conditioner after using it for about six months. I love this conditioner—it's amazing for my hair. I have naturally high porosity hair, but I was able to change that by adding keratin products, which improved my porosity, and now my hair behaves like low porosity hair. Using keratin has been a bonus—I’ve seen less frizz, less tangling, and my hair looks great and feels so much softer🥹. Plus, this conditioner is affordable, heavy enough to use alone, but light enough to rinse out easily, allowing me to layer other products without flaking or weird reactions when combined with different brands’ gels and curl products. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a keratin deep conditioner that actually works. Since I started using this line, I’ve noticed a noticeable increase in shine, elasticity, strength, and less breakage. If you're going to buy it, get it on Prime Day otherwise get the larger size (here) because it's more bang for your buck. If not, TJ Maxx or Marshalls are great places I've happened upon before.
