I love the color of these Neon Dye ink pads.
This set contains the neon mini 1 inch pads from Hero Arts and contains Neon Orange, Green, Blue and Pink. They are dye ink and dry quickly. These fit into the Tim Holtz mini storage box or you can store them in the plastic cling tray they come in. If you want to have them loose in a box, I would wrap the set with a rubber band to make sure and keep the lid on. They aren't loose really but can easily dry out if it comes off. The full size pads are available if you find a favorite neon color. Here's a picture of my template of colors. The second row in the picture shows the other set of neon colors available by Hero Arts.EXTRA FYI: They can't be stacked on top of each other like you can with the mini Distress ink pads. The mini round ink blending foam from Ranger can't be stored on the bottom of these cubes either but it is possible with the Distress line. A little Velcro sticker on the bottom of the Distress ink pads will help hold the Mini Blending Foam securely on the bottom. These aren't made to mix with water since they are a dye ink unlike the pigment based Distress line.

Ink Pads Arrived Ready to Use
Some reviews reported that that some of the inks would be dry, so I was a little worried. But my set arrived in good shape. Each color works well, and I'm using them. The ink has a little smell, but it seems to dry just fine. I used the green for the ferns on this card.

4 cubes give you multiple colors- great value!!
These neon inks by Hero are fantastic! They work on kraft card- will not show up on black. If you smoosh on your surface, you can add water and get many different shades- useful on white card when using layering stencils as you can start with a light touch for first layer and go deeper in color as you layer up! Many YouTube videos using the Neons. They were sold out everywhere but Amazon now has them for a better price!

great solid coverage, but doesn't play well with water
These are juicy, bright, and *very* neon.My only issue with these is that they claim to be a dye ink that is water based, yet they perform more like a solvent ink. They do not react with water at all (once the ink is on the paper, it stays there, and cannot be lifted or "activated" with water, like the Distress inks) and layering two different colors isn't very successful at all- it results in a weird, splotchy finish instead of a nice blended color. And cleaning this off stamps is very difficult. That being said, these inks are BEAUTIFUL for what they are- they dry to an even, smooth, BRIGHT color. Even the most finicky and hard-to-ink clear stamps take this ink wonderfully. And if you do watercolor, you can use this ink to stamp your outlines without worrying that the water and paint will "lift" the color and blur your images. So while you can't use these inks like Distress or blend them, they leave a solid stamped image, dry beautifully and smoothly, and have amazing colors that are not available in true water-based inks.

Great way to try out many colors!
These mini ink pads are a great way to try out the Hero Arts Shadow Ink line. I bought 4 different sets on sale and for about $20 I got to try 16 different colors. These are tiny but very juicy and not disposable (they can be re-inked). I eventually bought just about every set they put out and like them all with the exception of the gold in the Christmas set which is useless, but still, one out of 30 or so colors isn't bad. These inks stamp a bit uneven at first, but even out as they absorb into the paper. They're supposed to work that way, it's not a defect. They might stain stamps, but that depends on the stamp material as well, not just the ink (stamps made in the US tend to stain). Overall I'm very pleased with the quality of these inks.

Nice Little Pack of Stamp Pads
I purchased this pack of neon ink pads for a specific project on which I was working. I wanted to use the neon colors with date stamps to add interest to some genealogical prompts that I was writing and these were perfect.Getting all 4 colors in one pack was the perfect choice to have variety without breaking the bank. These are small which made them perfect for my project. I used these to both mark on the edges of elements and to stamp the dates on the pages which brought the whole thing together and added some bright fun to the pages.I recommend these for smudging the edges of pages and when using date stamps where the larger stamp pads are too cumbersome.

saves space and fabulouse stamp pads with great colors
its great ink for stamping. when it first stamps, it most of the time looks kind of splotchy, when it dries its fabulous. I love it and these little cubes are much easier to store. (they just fit in rangers new tin made for their distress mini cubes. if you get the ranger mini blender, the round blender pads just fit under the little cubes. you can store them with the black side of the sponge out and just attach it easily to the blender tool. its a great product. great for saving space also.
