This pan is such high quality. I love Demyere products. Heat is evenly distributed.

While the description of product says that it is "induction" friendly, this just isn't the case. The construction materials allow it to work on an induction top, the grooves on the bottom of the pan mean it takes forever to heat up. Also means controlling the heat is very difficult on induction top. Bought to replace a previous Demeyere 8" pan used for eggs because inside of pan was beat up. Previous pan had smooth bottom. Made a mistake here. Should have returned but I didn't. This pan would likely work very well on a gas range.

Appears to scratch with non-metal utensils

When it came to skillets, it was 10 or 12 inches. But I thought I'd see what an 8 inch skillet would do for me. I have found it to be very handy. I don't think I needed to spend this much though. That said, I have a very good pan and I hope it will be around for a long time. I'll go with a less premium non-stick if I need to replace it.
