What are the ingredients? There is no information on the box or bottle and there is no insert. I will not put an unknown substance into my tank. Thx

I've used this product in a 55gal planted tank that was COVERED in green-slime algae. Whatever it is made of, it cleaned up the tank in a week. And my plants and fish were all fine during and after it's use.

How much should I put in a 5 gallon tank?

I'd be conservative and go 1/2 to 2/3 of one level scoop.

Do I repeat the dosage day by day until the algae is gone? Or is a once a week between water changes thing?

Just one dose at one time. Be patient. By the 5th or 6th day the algae will be gone. You won't even need to keep dosing weekly after that because one treatment takes care of it.

It is known bga dies off with higher levels of o2, is this what's really killing off bga or the hidden ingredients doing it? snakeoil, maybe?

All I know is that even with higher levels of O2, bga was growing in my tank and there was no way to get rid of it as it is a bacteria. I wish we would know more about the composition of this product but the fact is: it is very efficient.
