good quality, good service
I ended up ordering the wrong size for my project and had to return. However, the backer rod seems to be made of high-quality foam, and it feels dense and durable. It has a nice, consistent texture that should be great for filling gaps and joints. I can't speak to how well it works in the long term, but it appears sturdy and like it would do the job as intended. While I didn't end up using the backer rod, Amazon's return service made the process incredibly easy and the refund was instant.

Solid foam backer road
As advertised and affordable. Cuts easy, very flexible, accurate dimensions. Using as backer rod and insulator around patio sliding doors and in driveway. It was nice to find a brand who has a thicker dimension in 5/8 that I needed.

Great product used it to put down in my tack room when I put a wood floor down. Worked perfect to keep the boards in place and still have them the expansion gap they needed!

Just right snugness
This 5/8" backer rod was a good fit in the 1/2"expansion joint. First the old fiber board joint was raked out. The joint was the pressure washed followed by final cleaning with a leaf blower. This size backer rod is a perfect fit. It is easy to press it in about a 1/2" below the concrete surface. Finger work well to press it in. A box knife with the blade retracted gives a nice even depth. Masking tape was used on either side of the gap to have a clean look joint. Five 10 oz cartridges of Sikaflex 1cSL Flexible Self Leveling Polyurethane Concrete Expansion Joint and Crack Sealant filled the 1/2" x 1/2" X 35' gap. If there is wind and blowing leaves/debris, the joint should be covered until sealant gets a skin

Worked really well.
