I purchased this book for myself and one for my sister. She was blown away when she opened the box and saw what it was. Just for fun, I started reading it from the back to the front so I'd be surprised at the top 5 albums. I'm proud that I've had many of the albums listed in the book, over the years. This book will make a super gift for a music lover!!

Great book! Always something new to read

This is a gorgeous looking book. Great to flip through the pages and look for your favorite albums and stars. But if you're looking for an accurate account of the best 500 albums of all time forget it. Let's start with the fact that there are 8, that's right, 8! albums of Kanye West in the 500. What!? To me this suggests something's off, right off the bat. Then, there are a few really great albums in my opinion, of course, that are not there, such as Bookends - Simon & Garfunkel, The Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus - Spirit, not even one album of ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) and more. But there are 8 Kanye West albums. Like I said, enjoy the show, but don't assume your favorite albums of all time will make this list.
