Really good for trigger finger great fit great support Great value for money

I have De Quervain’s. When I asked Dr. Arthritis if this brace was suitable I received a very quick response, and yes, it was. Once ordered it arrived quickly. I’ve now used it for a few days I can honestly say it’s the best brace I have bought, by far (I have bought 3). It is easy to put on, is very well made (the Velcro is superb) and because the part that goes over the thumb is longer than my others, it prevents me causing pain by accidentally knocking the end of my thumb. I believe that nothing is going to be a quick fix for this condition, but I’m sure that this will now give my thumb, hand and wrist the support it needs to allow the healing process to progress without constant setbacks. I can not recommend this highly enough. A+ !!! UPDATE HAVING BOUGHT A SECOND ONE: A nice company, I feel. I have now bought a second Thumb Brace, so I can have one being dried whilst wearing the other (as they should be hand washed and air dried). I have been more than happy with the support given by this, superior support. Many thanks to the developers..

The thumb splint supports, left and right, have been fine so far in the few days I have used them (I use both left and right hand splints). There is quite a bit of restriction for everyday modern tasks but by their nature the splints are designed to do a job so it is necessary to trade that off. I have nothing to compare against as this is a first time use (scaphoid and ligament injuries due to an accident) but quality seems very good and easy to fasten without straining the injuries doing so. The only negatives I would report at this stage are: - One size/option for either hand works OK but one side looks slightly odd compared to the other. I.e. it is essentially a right hand glove/fit that can be adapted (easily) to the left hand in reverse but it would be better if it was more neutral each way. Specifically the Velcro fasteners can only be rotated clockwise (ideally the left hand use would be anticlockwise by means of a reversible velcro). - If fixed too tight the circulation can be compromised leading to aches and numbness. The difficulty is it needs to be done up fairly tight to provide the correct support to the thumb. Too tight and it can restrict so it is a balancing act to find the right medium. Overall, I believe I made a good choice for this product which seemed to be a high quality product/design at a competitive price with good reviews to base the decision on. I would recommend this product fully with the caveat I have no other supplier to compare it against and have only had a few days of road testing to date. Happy so far.

Did the job. Comfortable too

Great product. Does what it says on the tin. However, the metal strip cannot be removed as can in other products. Results in the strip digging into your wrist, making wrist more painful when it is really improving. Found this out by switching to another brace where metal strip is removable by design. Something to bear in mind.

Messages: I ordered a Thumb Brace from Dr Arthritis on Amazon yesterday, as I've been experiencing a lot of arthritic pain in my thumb and wrist, knees and ankles. My arthritis suddenly came on about 18 months ago and until then I had no idea just how painful and debilitating it could be. I am a very 'young' 65 year old and was looking forward to doing all the things I had planned for my retirement the freedom of joining walking clubs, working on my allotement, researching my family tree on line etc. But when my arthritis started I got very low, getting panic attacks and felt that life may not be worth living. It is very unlike me to think in such a negative way and I just didn't like the way I was letting my arthritis control me so I decided to do something about it and to control it instead. I started by doing a lot of research into the condition and read numerous reviews before deciding to purchase a Thumb splint. I decided my best option would be to order from Dr Arthritis. I received it today, tried it on and almost instantly felt relief which is marvellous. The booklet that was also enclosed was very informative and I have already started to do the excersizes. So today us going to be the first day of getting my life back on track and look forward to my retirement again! I would definitely award this product 5 stars and am now going to purchase more items including a knee support. Je suis hyperlaxe et j'ai donc très régulièrement des débuts de tendinites poignets et chevilles. J'avais une orthèse poignet droit prescrite et donc venant de la pharmacie, mais je trouvais qu'elle ne maintenait pas assez (par contre, elle était très légère !) Ayant aussi besoin d'une orthèse pour le poignet gauche, je me suis dirigée vers cette attelle qui s'adapte pour les deux côtés et je ne suis pas déçue. Aussitôt reçue aussitôt essayée et je dois dire que le maintien est vraiment meilleur que celle retirée en pharmacie ! Le soulagement est quasi immédiat. Bien sur, elle est un peu plus lourde, mais ça reste toujours moins lourd que l'attelle totale qui empiète sur l'avant bras. Le reste des doigts est totalement libre et je peux même taper cet avis avec. En bref, je suis ravie de cet achat, elle s'adapte réellement à toutes les tailles. J'avais un peu peur car j'avais vu des commentaires sur des poignets décrits comme "petits". J'ai un poignet assez fort et aucun soucis ! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Absolutely fantastic! Needed this for a tendon strain in my finger and it is amazing. Keeps my finger locked in and is easy to adjust.

Works wonderful for my trigger thumb. Used it maybe a few weeks steady including sleeping in it. Didn’t have to go to the doctor for that at all the brace worked perfect. Glad someone gave me the idea to get one highly recommended if you have trigger thumb or any issues with your thumb joint that this could possibly help with
