MaraNatha Organic Creamy Raw Almond Butter, 12 Ounce Jar

I've tried many raw and not-raw almond butters over the past year and this is hands-down my favorite one and I keep coming back to it. It is expensive but in terms of flavor, texture, and overall mouth appeal, it is worth it if you want your almond butter raw and organic. Artisana Organics Raw Almond Butter is the same price but is slightly larger (14 ounces VS. 12 ounces for the Maranatha). However, flavor-wise it just tastes like someone ground up a handful of unremarkable almonds. I've also tried Gopal's Sprouted Almond Butter (same price but smaller, 8 ounces) and that one is tasty but a bit too thin and oily. The Maranatha has a very smooth, slightly sweet flavor that is unique compared against the other almond butters I've tried. The texture is not too thin and not too thick, but just right. And it tastes awesome right out of the jar. If you are just starting to venture out into raw almond butters, I would recommend this is as your initial purchase. Then, if you want to try others you will be able to compare them against this one and see which one(s) you like best. I always have a jar of this brand on hand even if I try others, just to test them out.

This is THE BEST brand of almond butter by far. Unfortunately it is too expensive for me, so I rarely purchase it. Delicious and clean tasting.

I'm not sure if this being raw and organic is the reason its so oily. But its not really good for spreading on anything. As is I would use this as a add in to a protein shake or smoothie. Maybe add in a cookie dough or topping a veggie plate.. But the consistency is more like a very thin spread with chunks of almond. Taste is excellent . Just opened it so I'm going to refrigerate it and see if that changes the consistency. Its definitely worth trying if you catch it on sale. I've had other products by this brand. And I haven't been disappointed yet. Flavors are great and they have all been fresh.

By far the best almond and peanut butter I have ever had that is clean, organic and creamy. Best choice in taste and consistency. Wish they had a hazelnut butter.

VERY EXPENSIVE! Not sure it is worth the price- but it is lighter, and has a good flavor- dont think I will spend the $20 on it again- this is a "DONT BUY" because of the price point
