Works great & relatively affordable.
Works well. It replaced an identical remote that worked for about 8 years. Of course you'll probably need to pair with your fireplace. I was due for cleaning & service. The tech paired the remote (no extra charge) since he was already here. Originally I was told a new remote would be $hundreds. Obviously this was not true!

Identical remote and easy to pair
My fireplace remote got corroded beyond repair. Don't leave batteries in remotes kids! I learned the hard way. But at least this remote came to the rescue. It looks identical (except the brand name on front in the original) and it was very easy to pair with my fireplace. All functions seems to work as expected.

Price and quality
Works as it should, easy to program. Local fireplace store wanted $260 for the same one, made by the same company. (HHT)

I had my gas fireplace serviced and needed a new remote. The maker of the fireplace charged $259.48 (including tax). I thought that I had no other choice but to get it through them. Since it had to be ordered, I had to wait. While waiting, I decided to look on-line just for the heck of it. I found it on Amazon for $101.82 (including tax). I went to the retailer and told them to cancel the order and explained why. I was told that It's cheaper on amazon because it's made in China and would be taking a gamble. I looked at their remote and it's made in Taiwan. I looked at the new remote from Amazon and it's made in Taiwan as well. Hmmm... I learned a valuable lesson......Do your own research...

Good product, bu needs better directions
It works as advertised but needs to be programmed to your particular fireplace. Directions about that were not clear, but I found a helpful youtube video which did the trick.

Heat N Glo Remote
Great remote and it was easy to pair with the fireplace. You just have to find the learn button under the fireplace unit. There are Youtube videos to help.

Harder to sync than you think
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This looked exactly like my current remote and was a good price. I had to return it because the description did not explain that you have to locate the control box in the fireplace and set it to LEARN in order to sync the remote to the unit. Even after reading the fireplace instructions, I couldn't find the control box, and it apparently is located behind the unit. I am not comfortable trying to do that myself.
