Works. Will need to be replaced eventually.
Used to haul out a large, quartered, male caribou across rough country for several miles on foot — thanks buddy!! There is no doubt it works. We used it with an inexpensive chest harness. There is no doubt it works. We used it with a inexpensive chest harness. Take some time to carefully lace the sled. Of note, the sled did occasionally roll over various times on side inclines and some large bumps and humps. All the included rope is cheap. Do yourself a favor and get some quality thin rope or 550 cord for lacing the sled. And a nicer pull rope. While I think there is reasonable quality for the price, the product will not last forever. It will need to be eventually replaced. There seems to be at least one more season for mine, if not more. I would buy again (and change out the rope :)

Helpful on flat ground and in the snow.
I used this on the Ruby Mountains mid rifle. There was no snow on the ground. My buddy got a buck on a side hill about 2 miles from a road. We gutted and tied the deer into this, and then tied it to his backpack. As soon as we started walking the sled weight shifted down hill and nearly pulled my buddy down the will with it (we were trying to walk side hill). We then tied another cord to it and I walked above my buddy with the second cord keeping it from sliding down the hill. We dragged it across rock, dirt, and over bushes. It performed well enough for the conditions. We had to keep the front end above the ground or else it would scoop up dirt with it. Once we got to a creek, we let it go in front of us and it nearly pulled us down the hill with it. Then we had to hold the deer by it’s antlers to drag it up the steep hill. As long as we were on relatively flat ground, it was helpful. After dragging a buck over 1.5 miles across rock and bush, it only had one tear in it and was still usable. The second deer we shot we decided it would be easier to quarter out and pack in our backpacks. Later I hunted in Montana in the snow. I had not brought the sled with me, but wished I had. I think this would have been much more helpful in the snow.

Worth every penny 4 deer dragged over 15 miles
Worth every cent won’t hunt again with out it! We killed 4 deer used the same sled for all, average deer size 150. We dragged over rocks(lots of rocks) Through the creek up hill down hill even side hill!! (Found it best the take the legs off at the knees) easier to get the deer to stay centered! The last drag out was up out of the creek bottom over 400 yards, straight up over rocks and burned trees! The sled is so durable we tied the end of the rope to the truck and used the truck to pull it up the 400 yards, and there Was a slight tear in the back of the sled, we figure at least 2 more long drages and it’ll be time for a new one!!

Awesome product.
Packs with my summit climber, bungee through the middle and between the top and bottom. Leave it on the ground when you climb. Makes dragging 250lb deer possible!! And by far the best product for hunting I’ve bought in a number of years. Will have the big one for Colorado elk quarters!

What a "back saver"!
This is my second "sled". I used the extra large on 2 Florida deer last year. Worked great, but clearly didn't need the extra large. I gave it to my sweetie as an aid in loading her kayak on top of SUV. Place the "sled" on top of vehicle and amazing how easily it slides on. Remove while traveling and reinstall to remove kayak. "Piece of cake". You can share my "invention" use for your product!

Cross tie system not sufficient.
It made dragging my deer easier but the deer kept shifting partially off the sled. I’m going to individual ties for each hole to better secure the deer on the sled.
