Grew up in Wales we used to pick it off the rocks and cook it. Could always pick up good quality laverbread and cockles in Swansea market. Can not do that where I live so this is a great alternative.

Yes, this laverbread tastes of the sea, but no bits of sand amongst it, which can happen in 'fresh' laverbread. Its a special treat for us, add it to bacon & bread frying in a pan ,an egg and to add extra delight, fried cockles in breadcrumbs.

This product is excellent I love it and it good for you ,have been eating laverbread since I was a little girl,every Sunday breakfast with bacon,egg and parson cockles,parsons is based in burry port ,llanelli, made in wales, known all over the world, excellant value for money,the service is excellant

Not a fan of the stuff myself but bought for Cubs as part of a 'bushtucker trial' activity and they were equally disgusted But apparently, people do like it

I wanted to try this as I’m currently learning the Welsh language. It’s delicious, but absolutely full of sand which put me completely off! I can’t stand sand in my mouth/teeth.
