I love this Bible! The blue color is so pretty. The cover feels so soft to the touch and I enjoy reading it and carrying it. I like the simplicity, the readability, its slimness, and the font used. It also contains some helpful information at the end, including a reading plan, some maps, the words to some Creeds, Parables, Perspectives, Prayers, and Promises. I've added photos of the Table of Contents and a sample page. Sometimes, I just enjoy reading scripture from different Bibles so that the passages do not become so overfamiliar. As a word girl, I like comparing different versions and I find that I continue to learn. I also tend to get distracted by lots of footnotes (my other favorite Bible is HUGE) and I just wanted God's Word, not so much commentary. I wanted to try the New Revised Standard Version, as my pastor often uses it. Of course, I did a little research. In the continuum of Bible translations, this one seems to fall in the middle: it is not a word-for-word translation or a paraphrase. It is a thought-for-thought translation. This is the updated edition, NRSVue. The Preface says "the NRSVue extends the New Revised Standard Version's purpose to deliver an accurate, readable, up-to-date, and inclusive version of the Bible" and that "the NRSV has been called the most accurate of the English-language translations, based on the available manuscript evidence, textual analysis, and philological understanding". I read many different Bibles weekly; however, for now, I am really enjoying this one. I am no Bible scholar. These are just my thoughts and opinions.

Nice size nice cover print not too small

I bought this Bible recently and really like the text of this updated edition of the NRSV. However I find that Zondervan's "comfort print" is uncomfortable and difficult to read. As I understand it, Zondervan uses different fonts with different translations. I find each letter in this font too tall in proportion to its width, and there's little space between letters and words. Overall, the effect is slightly blurry and squeezed looking. Also, the font does not look at all contemporary as would befit this new edition. The Leathersoft book cover is quite thin, flexible, and smooth, making it feel a bit floppy to hold.

Looks great, will be a great gift for my friend.

Great translation that focuses on God’s Word instead of saying a “watered down” version of what I’d prefer to hear. This is a translation that does not gloss over the Bible’s hard parts

Well made, I guess im getting old because I might need bigger print

The Bible has a nice cover, but soft. The paper is so thin that I'm afraid to turn the pages, let alone take any notes. If there was a larger selection of NRSVue Bibles at this price, I would probably return it, but for now it is probably the best version for this price.

Absolutely beautiful bible. The cover is soft and easy to handle, and the font inside is very easy to read. I would recommend buying tabs to put on the different books to make your life easier. The ribbon to keep your page is a nice touch. For a gift bible, it's great quality. It does not contain the Apocrypha however, for anyone who is looking for it.

Absolutely love this bible, I bought this as a gift to myself when I found a bible study group I loved, the pages are very delicate but it's a lovely bible to read and cherish
