Requires App... Any Errors? Cat Doesnt Eat
If I could go back in time, I would not buy any products from this company. This feeder is overcomplicated, requiring an app to properly function, and if connection to the app gets messed up, it will stop dispensing food. I had to do a hard reset in the first month just to get it working again. Otherwise, this has functioned relatively as expected, but because of these bugs at such a high price tag, I would recommend a smaller brand at half the price that doesn't require an app to work. I keep it plugged in so battery life it not a concern. It holds a decent amount of food and my cat doesn't have trouble eating from this, but just having the issue where it stopped dispensing food is a major safety concern and drops this from a mild inconvenience "3-star" product to a 1 star avoid.

Worked for several months then not
I bought this last July 2025 for our cavapoo. It is now April 2026 and it does not work. It was great when working but now it will not connect to wifi. Everything in the house is connected. What is so aggravating, I have called and called and left messages but to no avail. So now I have an expensive dog feeder that is useless. I dont plan on buying another product from Petlibro--poor customer service, well, no service at all and a defective feeder.

Bad customer service & faulty product
This unit has never worked very well. We received the unit mid July and hooked it up. First the food would just pile right where the dispenser was. To trouble shoot: In early August we got a stand that tilts to help distribute the food. It worked a little better but still not great. Late August we bought the double bowl and a stand that tilts more in hopes with more space the food would not back up as much That was working well enough. Starting in early October the counter sensor keeps giving errors. Over a few weeks: I went through all the various help procedures to reset, clean out etc. Early this month (November) At a loss I reached out to petlibro. I don't think they even bothered to read my email detailing what I had already done. Wanting videos and pictures of me doing it all over again. At this point I have a food bowl that I have to manually fill that looks really fancy and is useless. I have asked to just buy the faulty part so I can have it functioning again. Really disappointing, their water fountain is great, and I was looking forward to their litter box launch. I guess I am back to the drawing board. I will update if they allow me to buy the faulty part so I can fix it and a 50-80 dollar auto feeder should work when you get it without you needing to trouble shoot and buy additional items and it should definitely work more than more than 3 months.

THEY DON'T HONOR THEIR WARRANTY IF IT BREAKS
I have purchased several of these over the years and they have worked well, HOWEVER, when I ordered my most recent one, it failed after just a few months. Just stopped working. I reached out to the PETLIBRO company by phone, but apparently they only accept emails. I just wanted an exchange. Jestoni finally responded 2 weeks later and asked me to explain what was wrong with the product and to send in a few pictures with my original recipe from Amazon. Two weeks later they responded by asking me to take a video of the feeder not working! How ridiculous! How would a video of a feeder not working prove to be better than the pictures I already sent?! I emailed them back explaining I had to buy a replacement because they didn't honor the exchange I was told I'd get and it took months for the process. To date they've never honored their warranty. Buy at your own risk!

Like it a lot!
Update a few months after my original review One star, zero if I could. The machine completely stopped working a little over a month ago. I followed troubleshooting available online before emailing customer service. After a few emails exchanged with what was clearly an AI customer service rep, I got a human reponse. The human wasn’t anymore helpful than the AI and a lot slower to respond. A month later and there is no resolution whatsoever. Each reply from the human asked me to try yet one more trouble shooting suggestion, then asked for proof of purchase, then asked me to make drastic changes to my WiFi, then asked me for a video of the machine not working so that they could SEND ME PARTS to repair it myself. So, a product that completely breaks after a few months and laughably terrible customer service. It’s really frustrating too because this product made life a lot easier for us and our dog. Oh well… Five stars based on a few things: 1. It works. It feeds my dog on time, every time and set up was a breeze, including syncing with the app and creating a feeding schedule. The feeding schedule was a little tricky to figure out because it dispenses in units of 1/12 of a cup and I am terrible at math :) But once I figured that out, easy-peasy. I like that you can skip feedings or do one off feedings with just a few taps. 2. The feeder communicates well with the app, as far as I can tell. I get alerts when his food his low, when the desiccant bag needs replacing, if the machine gets kicked offline, and if there is something stuck in the dispenser (this has happened once, with a piece of odd shaped kibble). 3. It "fits" the kibble we feed our dog. I was worried the dispenser wouldn't be wide enough, but aside from one piece of kibble that was odd shaped, we've had no problems. For reference, he eats Purina one chicken and rice formula. I decided to try this when my husband found out he would be traveling for a bit and we needed a way to feed our dog lunch on the days I was working in the office. It's positively changed our routine in terms of other feedings, too. It used to be that our dog would whine for food outside our bedroom door starting around 5:30 am every morning. We tried everything to break him of this, but no luck. I set the schedule so that he gets one half of his breakfast at 4:45 am and the other half at 6:00 am. This has worked like a dream. Now, I usually have to wake him in the mornings when I get up, around 6:45 / 7:00 am. The food dispenser is relatively quiet and we keep it by our backdoor. So, I don't hear it when it goes off in the morning but my dog does. One nice, unexpected side effect is that it keeps him from inhaling his food because it dispenses slowly. If helpful to anyone: my dog is a med to large, about 60 lbs., lab/retriever mix. We haven't tried using the audio function so I can't comment on that (I noticed a few reviews said it doesn't work). I think the true test will be how long it lasts. I've had it almost 2 months and so far, so good, but I'm really hoping it lasts us a good long while. In the meantime, very pleased and recommend this to others.

Identical Listing, Incompatible App. Buyer Beware
I recently purchased a second one of these feeders after we adopted a second cat. We liked the ability to use the app to set schedules, trigger one-off feedings, and monitor the feeder remotely. I simply went to Amazon, pulled up my original order, and purchased what appeared to be the exact same item. Unfortunately, Petlibro has made a confusing and misleading change. Even though the listing shows the same item and model, the new feeder does not work with the same app as the original one. There was no indication of this anywhere in the product listing. Amazon still treats them as identical and even shows that I ordered the same item twice. As a result, we now have to use two separate apps to manage what should be identical feeders, which is frustrating and unnecessary. To make matters worse, the newer app is cluttered with promotions and extra noise that detracts from basic functionality. Customer support was unhelpful and suggested that I replace my original feeder so both units could use the new app, which is not an acceptable solution. I would strongly recommend choosing a different brand and avoiding Petlibro due to their lack of transparency and poor customer experience.

False advertising
Have had it for 3 months. I bought 2. Very poor product quality. One won’t stay connect to the internet. They fail at telling you when the food is low. There isn’t much else I bought this for and it fails at automatically feeding my animals and letting me know when I need to fill it back up.

Overpriced, dopey features, lame app, expensive dessicant packs
This is NOT a smart feeder whatsoever. It has no AI, or "fuzzy Logic" algorithm, or any sort of usage based adaptic scheduling, ad lacks any kind of sensors that would actually make it reasonably smart. What it is however, is a simple preprogrammed schedule feeder, with the ability to activate a feed cycle on demand. That's it. Nothing else. Considering how simple it is, and how frequently it jams up with typical cat food kibble, or due to changing eating habits of my cats, it's wildly overrated and overpriced. Therefore, I simply cannot in good faith recommend this product to anyone. There are other feeders that have the same simple feature set that are normally priced half as much. If that functionality is good enough for you, get one of them instead. If you want an ACTUAL smart feeder, it needs to have sensors to know how often pets actually feed, and adapta it's feeding schedule to then, or better yet works on demand. Another thing to look for is the feed chute being a couple three or so inches ABOVE the bowl, so food doesn't back up I to the chute and jam it. This happens multiple times a week, no matter how often I adjust the feed cycle to adapt to the ever changing eating habits of my two cats. Some cats have an internal clock that is precise down to the millisecond. Not my two furbabys, blnor the three prior furbabys I have had. Most likely that is somehow due to how I raised them from tiny tribbles with murder claws, but that's not the point here. Just search around, find a better designed AND REVIEWED product, and check YouTube, Reddit, etc. for videos and actual discussion about their features, flaws and strengths. I guarantee that there is something better than anything from Petlibro. Oh, and side note. I bought a Dockstream too, and it drives me just as nuts as the stupid Granary does. Both will be replaced soon, even if I have to 3D print parts myself and program a Raspberry Pi. Honestly, that's not a bad idea. My experience with this overpriced dumb feeder has shown me a long laundry list of what is wrong, and what is missing, and I already determined retro fitting a scale and other sensors would be too difficult, so maybe just build from scratch. P.S. when I first got this thing, I gave it four stars. I then took one off due to its inability to work with my smart home, and finally down to two after months of the bowl either overflowing and jamming the machine, or being empty and my cats getting angry at me. I finally have had it, bumped it down to one star due to it constantly jamming up, and wish I could get all my money back!

Motor stuck, machine won’t dispense food
Edit: Increase rating base on Petlibro wonderful consumer service. Brought up the issue to the original company and after reviewing the video to prove it was the base that was the issue, Petlibro sent me a replacement base. I just got it and it is working so far. Crossing fingers it last more than 2 years. Original: After 6 month of use (and it wasn’t set to go off everyday either), the motor is dead. I keep getting an error message on the app saying the motor is stuck and to clean out the feeder but that’s not the issue. I’ve tried cleaning the machine out and it’s not a food blockage. The motor just won’t turn anymore. I've tried gently turning the motor manually and it won’t budge. There’s no way to open the machine to look under the motor to see if there’s an issue too. Very disappointing. The feeder isn’t cheap either

Far too expensive
I had initially thought that this was 6 packs of 4 each. But it's just 6 items in the pack for almost £20. I doubt that this costs more than 20p to manufacture. And they want you to replace them every 2 weeks!

My holiday saver even more
Good feeder for our 2 cats. Nice outlook and is easy to use. Spent a few minutes doing the settings and connecting the network via the App. Everything is under my control, able to feed my cats by schedule or manually. when I was on holiday or working, I can check the bowl of the feeder all the time through my home camera so that I can amend the quantity of food for my cats instantly if in case. I'm not worried about being out of food. Peace of mind.

Rettet Familien
