Good product
Good product... Runs drives with no problems and easy to hook up and turn any drive into a portable drive or hide-away drive....

Cheaply made, does the job.
Cheaply made and fell apart on me and had to superglue it back together. It does the job its supposed to do, I guess, however I didn't expect it to fall apart.

Much better than expected
This is way better than I thought it would be for 6 dollars :D I can now use the random hard drives that I have laying around my room with my Surface Pro 3. The cable is a hollow-ish plastic at the hard drive end but that's ok I feel that if you were to use it like normal you will be fine. On some drives, the computer doesn't register them but that's ok because its the hard drives fault, not the adapters fault. All you have to do to fix that is change the drive path to something further in the alphabet in the disk manager and format to NTFS. They don't mention the little power and access lights but it has them and its a nice feature. I would 100% recommend this cord/adapter!!!

Not satisfactory
I ordered two of these devices - only one of them connected. The one that did connect has such bad throughput that it was unusable.

USB versions
I never did get this to work with my usb ports. I have a brand new desktop computer, and the USB port version seemed to reject the cable. I am sure that the cable works, but not with my USB ports.

Issues recognizing some SSD drives.

Cloning a drive to SSD? Get one of these.
I needed this connector to migrate some laptops to SSD drives. A one time use essentially. Price was reasonable and it did the job quite well.

I bought two different types when I cloned my HDD to a new, Samsung Solid State Drive. I was told by Samsung to get one of the "generic" brands to ensure compatibility with Samsung's Magician and Data Migration Software. This fit the bill perfectly. The SATA connector Address and Power lights were great helps in determining if there were any connectivity issues before/during the cloning process.

It's working very bad, very slow in reading data. The cloning operation was faild many times and now I have to buy another brand
