Bought this safety holder for my Börner wavy slicer! Works great! The zigzag on top and bottom is to remove a small piece of vegetable from the blade; in most food holders, it does not exist! Easy to use and easy to clean! About durability, only time can tell. So far, works great!

Purchased this to go with a mandolin that came with a not-so-handy guard. This one has metal spikes that anchor securely into the vegetable, making it much easier to manipulate. The spikes are adjustable to the thickness of the vegetable and the guard is substantial and protective of your hands. Happy with this purchase.

Super handy but quality is not as good as prior generations of Borner Fruit Holder. It’s not as sturdy.

Purchased this to use with the waffle fry slicer after reading comments about how sharp the blade was and that this was highly recommended. It's a little awkward to hold at first, but after I figured out how to hold it in my fat hand, it worked great! Would highly recommend this with the waffle fry cutter for sure! I'm sure it would work on others but I know this line is what it was designed for and it worked great.

They curved design protects my hand. Once you secure your vegetable, the rounded plunger cap fits comfortable under my palm allowing me to apply constant pressure. I love that this has nice long prongs. It is easy to secure an onion & thin-slice it on my mandolin, right down to the cap. I have tried & thrown away 6 other brands. So happy I finally found one of the quality that actually holds vegetables securely & fully protects my hands. Mandolins are great kitchen tools but can also be dangerous. Safety is paramount. I can recommend this 100%

Odd spikes to hold vegetables are.pushed out by central disc. Each time you draw down on the mandolin, food falls off. Poor products

I found a mandolin at the thrift store that did not have a safety handle thing. Used it a couple of times and figured it was only a matter of time until disaster struck. This handle thing works a treat and holds the food items secure as you slice.

I'm giving this one star rating because how this thing is marked up. I paid nearly $25 for this and its not even well made. Similar items can be found on other websites at fraction of the price.

I have had a Borner mandolin for over 55 years. One of the best products ever made. Bought one for my son for Christmas and he is really happy with the way it shreds, makes fries and slices.

Lost mine along time ago and was really happy to find it on. Amazon works perfectly.
