Butter Burst Popcorn Oil, Movie Theater Butter Oil for Machines and Stovetops, Naturally Colored with Beta Carotene, 1 Gallon

I've been using a commercial popper for around 15 years and this is the BEST buttery topping I've ever had hands down. Completely tastes like the local theater popcorn buttery topping. I use Jolly Time all in one popcorn kits that have coconut oil and a salt that is like Flavacol (if it actually isn't). If you don't use Flavacol salt you're missing out. The combination of quality popcorn, coconut oil, Flavacol, and this buttery topping will get you legit theater tasting popcorn you will absolutely love and wish you found a long time ago (just like me!).

I originally bought Dutchman's flavored coconut popcorn oil and it was great. I decided to try Snappy butter burst oil and it has turned out pretty good too; since I bought an entire gallon, I believe it will last me a while. I will probably stick with it in the future. It is not coconut oil, but it is nicely flavored and does the trick.

It is oil that is mildly butter flavored. The butter flavor has an artificial like quality. If you like movie theater popcorn, you might enjoy this product. I find it best as a popping oil. I have to use quite a bit to get a buttery colored popcorn. I use up to 1/3 of a cup in a whirley pop with 1/2 cup kernels and 3/4 teaspoon of flavacol popcorn salt. The result is very similar to typical movie theater popcorn with that mild artificial butter flavor and aroma that people seem to enjoy. For the best popcorn, I would suggest tossing popped corn with real melted butter as well. This will enhance the butter flavor. This product is not great when added to already popped corn, the flavor is not like butter in any way and is very oily. I would recommend using this product as a popping oil in a larger quantity than you might think and finishing the popped corn with melted butter.

This oil is a must for movie theater tasting popcorn. Combine this with Flavacol and your popcorn will be the best you ever had! (2-3 tablespoons oil, 1/2 cup kernels, 1/2 to 3/4 tsp Flavacol for popcorn perfection!) This oil is made from soybeans not coconut oil which is frequently recommended. An important difference is these oils is the amount of saturated fat in them. Coconut oil has 12 grams of saturated fat; Snappy oil from soybeans has 2 grams of saturated fat! Saturated fat is a major factor in the development of heart disease, our number 1 killer. So I only use this Snappy Butter Burst Popcorn Oil, especially since my family eats a lot of popcorn. Try it; you'll like it!

Love the flavor. My grandmother makes popcorn on the stove almost daily and it’s so nostalgic. This is really nice, it’s orange. It tastes good, I par it with flavocal and it tastes just like movie theater popcorn! So less is more, I have tried a little and a lot. If you use too much then it saturates the popcorn and makes it soggy. If you use too little it will burn. If you measure it will come out great. I do not recommend adding this as a topping. It is only for popping oil. Add the oil, add two or theee kernels. Once those pop add the rest and add the flavocal, which is super fine orange salt, popcorn topping. Stir and cover. Shake and once it slows down remove from heat. I live to melt butter and remove the cream and let it cool prior to making the batch. Soooo good and you can store it in an airtight container and it will keep a few days and I think it tastes best the third day. Also if you put pop corn in the freezer and snack on it cold it is the best!!!!! This is probably not the healthiest thing to use but it taste good and I’m sure it’s better than the microwave brands.

This popcorn oil has a nice buttery flavor and makes the popcorn smell amazing while it’s cooking. It pops evenly and gives the kernels that classic golden color. The flavor is good, but a little goes a long way since it’s pretty rich. It’s a solid option for at-home movie nights and easy to use with any popcorn maker.

Product a little pricey, but tastes great and works excellent in a popcorn kettle. Heats up well and can even just spray on your popcorn.

I traditionally have used the butter bars, or jars of solid coconut oil, but decided to try this. By volume, this is far cheaper and easier to use. The flavour is good, adding another layer of buttery taste to the popcorn. However, I have found that this leaves a residue on the bottom of my popper, which does get a stale oil scent if not cleaned right away. I am using the same amount of oil as I did when I used a solid product, but perhaps I need to use less to avoid the stickiness I have found after use.
